Ice, just wondering if you know if something has happened with the Anonymous Poker Series?

The reason I ask is that I did have 2 x $69+6 tickets in my account for satellites to this from an earlier promo on Bodog88, and now today the tickets are gone and I have 2 x $75 random cash deposits to my account.

It is win/win for them because fish don't care/know about it and regs stay away because of it.
I love how players try to push for something we all want no matter how feeble the attempt might be and people like you feel the need to reinforce the side of the poker site. Support us or keep your mouth shut. This is ridiculous.

Re: *** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

That is the point - we don't all want it. Some tourney players may well want it, but cash players, while probably not really caring either way (eg. me), could certainly make an argument that implementing sync'd breaks will increase the number of regs, which takes away money from fish, which they then can't lose to cash players.

This is a pretty long bow, but hopefully (yeah right) you see the point I am trying to make.

FYI this is not a "support me or keep your mouth shut" kind of site. It is a discussion board, where we discuss things.

This issue is not about "us" or "them". You asked why they don't do it, people explained why, and you berated them all for not taking your side.

Re: *** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

I keep losing my connection to Bovada.

I tried just playing one table to see if that would help, but I lost my connection again. It's not like other sites where the software attempts to re-connect you as soon as possible.
I get a message saying that it's not responding, and the only way back in is to restart the program. When I log in again I have been removed from my previous tables.

I have Windows 8.
Any thoughts?

I play on a windows 8 pc and have no connection issues, I don't think the OS has much to do with it... Unplug then replug your router?

If the program is not responding then it seems like it's not a straight connection issue and rather the client is crashing. Are you running the program as administrator?

This is a public forum and people are entitled to their opinions. My reply wasn't supporting the site at all, instead it was explaining their stance. If you would have taken the time to browse this forum you would have realized that the sync breaks issue has been brought up dozens of times. Just because you think that you are more important than everyone else doesn't mean you are going to get your way. I'm sorry you don't like Bodog's stance on it, but telling others to shut their mouths because you don't agree with it makes you look very immature.

That's 12 hours and 2 minutes. Even the oldest among us don't need to piss that much.

Sorry, you can't set them up and not expect someone to hit them. I'll put my helmet on and go back to the corner.

I play tourneys and prefer no synched breaks. Is it ok for me to post this viewpoint?

Re: *** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

Hey guys,

Unfortunately, the Bodog Network has made the decision to cancel the Anonymous Poker Series Grand Finale. The recent extreme weather conditions of Manila, combined with the difficulties of traveling in the region, have made it so that they no longer feel 100% comfortable hosting the event. All winners should be in contact with their operators (if you haven't already been in contact with them). Additionally, all tickets are in the process of being converted to cash and should be available to players within the week.

If you have any more questions, please contact your operator's support.

Ice, anyone else, the zone poker button is broken on Mac Bovada client. The button is still there but has no text on it and when I click it, the client crashes and wont open again until I restart. Anyone else seen this?

Re: *** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

Synchronized breaks just makes it better for the guys 30 rooming on merge and bovada to enjoy there sessions. You can all say it doesnt but I have quite a few huge merge volume buddys who spend there time on merge and not on bovada because of things like breaks,no player names, and not being able to use a hud. Same guys are also killing the EV on merge tourneys buy reentering the good prizepools multiple times making it harder for fish to win.

I play alot of rooms at once when I play and yes it gets annoying sometimes. Just remember everyone is doing the same thing. If your playing 12 games and getting annoyed just think about the guy whos playing 12 there and 12 on another site that has the breaks synchronized.

Also fish have no problems with the breaks. Fish arent the ones multirooming 10+ games at a time. Anything thats profish helps regs in the longrun.

Very good point that is being completely missed here. Certain people seem to think that the entire purpose of a site is to cater to the individual. Obviously this is not the case.

This is something that the network is looking to to offer at some point in the near future.

Re: *** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

Hello All!

It is with great pleasure that I get to announce the newest tournament series on The Bodog Poker Network: The Golden Spade Poker Open! The Golden Spade Poker Open is a tournament series that will run from September 9th to November 3rd, with the Contender Kickoff Event on September 21st.

Like the Black Diamond Poker Open, this tournament series will have two separate series: A Contender Series with lower buyins, and a Championship Series with bigger buyins. Also like the BDPO, there will be several events each day, including an early (based on ET) tournament.

I’ll have more information on the series later in the week.

Good Luck to all that participate!

Ice

Re: *** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

sup with synched breaks for mttz ffs...

at x:55 min would be cool.. just like every single other network on earth does.

makes it virtually unbearable to play more than a few games, esp for a long period of time; even with a laptop.
