Re: *** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

Signed up and made first deposit last night, so far like the site. I love the anonymous tables, and Zone seems to be great. When are we going to be able to have more than one entry at the same stake?

CC company sent me a message today to verify the deposit transaction, I texted back confirming that it was indeed legitimate and then they made me call in as well to confirm, but I just again told them it was indeed a legitimate purchase (w/o revealing what for) and they cleared the fraud alert on the account.

I have a question about the free sports bet bonus. Is it a match play or just a free bet for 50% of your first deposit?

I hope this works, because I've never posted an image before. If it does, you can see that I won .38, and the guy with AK lost .10 - my 8 doesn't play even though it pairs the board.

On Mac client, zone poker button is still there but doesn't say anything. When I click on it Bovada crashes and I can't re open without restarting.

Interesting.

At the showdown if you scroll down, what does it say your hand is?

Do the hand actions show what the software reported the showdown hands as?

Re: *** Official Bodog Network Support Thread ***

Hey guys,

Unfortunately there is a bug in the Zone system that comes up when several rare things happen in the system.. on top of no betting occurring, and resulted in the situation VB posted about. This bug has affected only a handful of Zone hands, and a patch to fix it is due out very shortly (today). The Bodog Network apologizes for this, and if you feel you were affected by this, please contact customer support asap.

Thanks,

Ice

Ice,

Many people have dismissed playing poker on Bovada assuming collusion, team play, and bots run rampant on the tables. I will admit that there are times where I have an overwhelming suspicion that I'm either being colluded against, playing against a bot(s), or a combination thereof. Because I play FL, I would assume the risk of finding successful bots in bigger limit games is higher.

While there is little to no way to prove all kinds of (insert favorite conspiracy theory here) that people may have, it might do some good to give us peace of mind that the anonymous entities we are risking our money against are actual living and breathing human beings. Other sites' players have screen names, so when you're suspicious of someone there, you can at least name them in an email to support, and track their behavior long term.

Because there is no ID consistency, and Bovada by policy does not divulge the results of any investigation, we are simply left to put our trust in the site that they are doing the right thing. And they very well may be, just like the FBI may be when they internally investigate their own shootings.

I'm sure a successful business such as Bodog that's been around for decades does everything it can to keep things on the up and up. There is too much at risk not to. The ability to go over sessions later with hole card transparency is a good start, but savvy cheaters are aware of the policy and would likely play their cards as reasonably as possible in order to not be detected.

So while we may not be able to do much aside from be suspicious of collusion and report it later, I think there is something we can do to prove to your players that they are playing against humans, and not unbeatable bots.

My suggestion is simply to introduce some sort of CAPTCHA technology before sitting at a table. Players too lazy to go through a step like that each time? Fine, create CAPTCHA tables and give the player a choice.

Another idea is to make Twitter style verified accounts. Perhaps a little blue checkmark next to "Player 6" might give us a little more ease that the entity across the table that refuses to respond to chat might just be a guy in China who doesn't speak English.

Can't you guys just assign each player a random #1 - 1000 and once player #57 quits his session, no one receives that same player number for at least 24hrs. I think this would help Zone become more playable. Anonymous is one thing but if i play with a guy over the course of a 1hour session, it'd be nice to know that i have some sort of read. Isn't that what poker is about? Can't even tell a guy how lucky he got when i see him again 2 hands later?

*if this feature is implemented. figure out a way for the notes i take on the guy to stay with him until he logs off.
Plus 1. Would love to see this

Is there any option to enable the chat box by simply clicking the table you are at? As in if I have 2 tables open and click on one the I bar comes up in the chat box and I could type right away without having to move down and click on the chat box?

Does bovada use different payment processors from time to time?

I use my tee dee bank debit card and it randomly gets declined / approved. Last time it was declined on Chrome and Poker Client but worked on Mozilla. This time it was declined on the client and in Firefox.

Not that it is a problem since it has worked each time, but it was just strange.

That's common from what I read, for it to randomly work after trying it 5 times in a row and getting declined.

Zone unavailable at higher limits? Player pool issue or initial testing strategy?

It's buggy still so I'll go with testing to work all thee kinks out. I'd play a little higher but not much until they get it more stable.

yeah, the Zone is not as fast as it was on FTP, seems clunky-laggy, and the limits are too low.

Has anyone else have had issues with leaving a table and then not have that money subsequently credited back to their balance? I played a session earlier and still several hours later the money from one of my tables is seemingly in limbo...?

this is bovada people. You can not expect to get full tilt level software.

Ice, a tentative time frame on higher limits for zone poker would be great.

I haven't seen or heard of this happening in the last few days. If anyone does run into it, please let me know (screenshot would work best).

I would love this feature.

Also I played in a Punta Cana Quarterfinal sng, does that qualify you for the Punta Cana promo assuming you already opted in and have earned enough Poker Points? It was an 8+.80 6 max fwiw. And assuming that qualifys how long does it take for the bonus to be added to your account?

Also is there an auto top off feature? If not that would be rly helpful imo.

You'll have to email your operator about the promo.

There is no auto top off feature.
