noob question:

is stacking on bovada virtually impossible? the pop up to front option seems to be flawed unless im doing something ******ed. while deciding on an action the tables under it pop up. putting this annoyance aside... when i complete the action on the new table, the original table doesnt come back on till the timebank is almost up.

this sum it up correctly?

I am aware that bovada is the site offered to Americans now, however i have an account on BODOG that is registered from another country. Can i access and play on this account while on the US?
08-03-2013 , 11:47 AM
Nope.

They have separate companies b/c Bodog doesn't want the risk of servicing the US market.

Once again, i am aware that bodog doesnt service US costumers and Bovada does so. My question is not whether bodog services US costumers, it is whether someone with a US internet connection can access the BODOG software and their EU registered BODOG account.

P.S. I know for a fact that the BOVADA software and BOVADA US registered accounts can be accessed from an EU internet connection. So i would assume that the reverse is possible also.

1) try it
2) does it work

The reason you're getting answers about whether you can play is because you asked that both in the title of your thread (that's all you asked there) and in the OP. Now that you've clarified, you'll get different answers.

I wouldn't assume anything of the sort. There are no legal reasons for Bovada to stop you from accessing your account in the EU. There are legal reasons Bodog may not want you accessing that account from the US. As others have said, email Bodog and find out. Trying it without knowing, though, sounds like a bad idea.

This is the message I get when I go to bodog.eu from the US. So it looks like you can, but I'd contact them.

We are unable to provide services to residents of your current location. If you already have a Bodog account and are visiting us while traveling you can close this window, sign in and continue playing.

I didn't realize this was an issue. Is anyone else running in to this?

Just wanted to let you guys know that there was a change in the points freerolls. The previous $7,500 gtd points freerolls (that ran twice per month) were removed and were replaced by a weekly $5,000 freeroll. These freerolls will alternate every week between a turbo tournament on Thursdays at 9:20 PM ET and and a regular tournament Saturdays at 2:20 PM ET.

The bet amount box drives me insane. This was one of the first complains after the v4 software came out. Any word on if they are even aware of how annoying this is?

It is very tough playing tournaments without synchronized breaks that are concurrent with other sites.

On 4-tables the annoyingness is manageable though.

You're talking about how you have to click and backspace or click/drag for a second time to overwrite the preset min-raise?

Wish it was just a click then type your bet into it, but you have to erase the numbers first.

when I try to register an account, the only country available is canada :?

Yeah, every other application in the world you highlight the text and type and it overwrites. On Bodogavada, most of the time it puts the numbers in front of whatever is in the box, and if you hit the bet box it just bets that amount. It's also not smart enough to ignore/error if the amount is wrong, so for example, last night I meant to raise to like $55 but instead it put $5510 or whatever in the box and shoved my whole stack in.

I don't get why they wouldn't use standard Windows APIs when writing their apps, but if they don't, at least make the behavior the same as every other app on the planet.

Yes, the bet box, please fix... please. I guess I have become used to it and have a strategy that seems to work every time:

1. Click once on the table you want to type in a bet on (anywhere there is not a button or bet box, I click the felt)

2. Click in the bet box in the empty space to the right of the existing amount.

3. Type in bet.

If you click on any of the numbers, that is when it sometimes adds your typed bet into the existing bet. Hope this helps.

There isn't any rake back at bovada right? And the only bonus one can get is the sign up bonus basically?

Also the only way to get money on the site is a visa card?
08-05-2013 , 05:50 PM
U can get money on via WU

Almost every week they have some kind of bonus for play. You can usually get $40 or $50 per week as long as you earn around 200 points weekly.

$40-50 put into your account or like money towards something else?

And can you sign up with an affiliate and get some percentage of commission back, is this common?
