+1 to that. 30bb min on all tables is pretty awful. 40 at the absolute minimum would be tolerable but 30 simply isn't poker.

What does it matter if players are winning or not? It's about not being able to play past a flop without having a short stack all in. There's no turn play...there's no river play. Allowing bums like you to play 30bb's takes out actual poker play and turns it into bingo.

What Bovada should care about is the fact that most 100bb players won't give any short stacks action before the flop and that means less rake. There's no incentive to call your raise with anything but really strong hands because there's nothing to win from you and no room to make moves.

So to alllllll the people in this thread short stacking nl...you're all pathetic. Get some confidence in yourselves and play full.

Even if he was, he is free to play however he likes within the rules of the game.

Most of the SS at low stakes are recreational losing players. Most of the rake collected is at low stakes. Forcing bad losing players to buy in for more wont increase their rake take. It will make the games more profitable for winning players and lessen their take.

In other words, its obvious that increased min buyins make the games better for winning players, both in terms of game play and profitability(unless you believe like some that all the fish will suddenly stop playing poker and leave the site if the min buyin is increased), but that ranges from something Bovada isnt interested in to something totally contradictory to what they are trying to accomplish with their poker model.

I've been having serious connections issues lately. My Internet connection is connected but ill constantly disconnect from bovada, and when I'm kicked off the table due to disconnection I can't get back on the table for five minutes if its even still open. I was disconnected 5 times in the span of an hour. Is there something on my computer settings making me disconnect? please help.

No reason to change the min buyin just because some people would rather complain than learn to play against 30bb stacks.

But what you could change is the focus steal. It's super tilting.

Here is my workaround for this:

1. In Preferences > Table Settings, check "Action Alerts Sounds Only" and "Multi-Table Sounds"
2. In Preferences > Game Play Settings, check "Disable Pop to Front"

This will only work well if you tile tables. You can now also uncheck "Disable Enter to Bet" if you wish. Having "Show Table Spotlight" checked also helps when determining which table needs action.
