Anyone else experiencing disconnects today?

Happened last night, once, and today three times, with four SNG's running each time. I quit playing.

My internet (FiOS) was not the issue and I DO NOT run any extra programs while I play. (PT, HEM, etc.)

Can you add a 100+5 hyper turbo (300 chips)? or a 75+3.50?

If your have the problem where software keeps crashing go to the preferences and turn
off the sounds, the animations, basically all the bells in whistles you do not need. Since I have done this the program has not crashed once and it has been over a week. Huge improvement from crashing 20 times a day!

Also just had the complete freeze-up issue - for those not aware, this is actually different to the "disconnect for a second and not be able to see anything else happen on the table (as you just got booted)" issue. This one is where you can see all the action happening, but cant click any buttons (including minimising, anything in the lobby, etc). Pretty frustrating to be in a 3bet pot and not be able to do anything when it is clearly a software error.
Ok, thanks for this.

Here is a request I was hoping to see added: can you pass along that I would like to see more of those last chance qualifiers for the nightly 15K tourneys where you put in 10 or 20 and 1 ticket for every 60 in prize money. How about have them several hours before tourney instead of just right before? this would be nice for all tourneys. Triple up satellite tourneys essentially.

Will pass both of these along.

A fun suggestion would be a 500chip Hyper Turbo HeadsUP nlhe tournament on Fri/Sat night.

something like a $109 or $55+$55 KO format ($55 to prizepool, $55 to KO)

I personally would love to see a $44 tournament around 4-5pm ET, maybe even a 6 max. This is a pretty dead spot in the day and the schedule really lacks 6 max tourneys, the only guaranteed prize pool 6 max is that $11 at 6:30pm ET... A 109 6 max on the weekends would be amazing.

Also that action hour rebuy seems to be a big hit too, would love to see a bigger buy in one of those...

And basically just more bigger buy ins. Bovada has done a great job with the tourney schedule recently and these are just some of my suggestions to help improve it even more, ty for your consideration.

sad thing is now I don't see that particular satellite at all lately. I know there have been times when there has only been one player and they cancelled it, but I usually am game to jump in, especially if they put it up sooner.

also, the nightly 15k needs to be updated from the 10K when it comes the 6 max qualifier for 12 dollars.

They dont do those tournaments any player or reg suggests. Been suggesting the 10k Chips pot limit omaha hi low game gets upgraded to atleast $50+ dollar with maybe a rebuy addon option for 2 years as they now have great omaha hi low traffic on the site to no aveil.

Not true at all. Just in my 13ish months here, a fair number of tournaments have been added that were suggested. A few that come to mind are the Sunday $215, the 2 heads up mtts (although both ended up coming off the schedule due to lack of participation), the weekend plo8 mtts, the $5 6max. Also, they've added action hour mtts that have been very popular and they've really upped the guarantee on the Sunday minor (now an $11 12k).

Ice, you really really need to address the disconnecting/being kicked off tables issue. This is happening at least once a day lately and not just to me where all tables will disconnect and even if you are reconnected a second later, it kicks you from all tables and unable to rejoin for 5 minutes. This only started happening with one of the most recent updates.

What's even more troubling is many of the times I do get disconnected from Bovada or any tables (sometimes it will be just 1 or 2 of the tables that I'm on, while others still work) I won't even be disconnected from the internet, as in every one of my other programs still run and are connected fine.

And I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with a specific hand history and is hard to tell which exact hand it happened on, just in case you give the standard 'ok ill pass it along, send a hand #'.

Same problem here. I don't think it's my internet because I don't get disconnected from my other site or my internet radio.

I understand the "5 minute rule" because you don't want people switching seats to get position on recreational players, but I'm confident something could be done when disconnected.

You could possibly allow players who get disconnected to sit in the exact same seat they were in. This would prevent people from switching seats to get position on rec players.

It sucks for regs, but it must equally suck for rec players, and they might not have the same wherewithal as regs and might just quit playing for the day instead of trying to get a new seat, which obv costs ya'll rake.

Please add more satellites and have them show up sooner. More tourneys in general would be great!! Thanks Ice!

I've been playing on Bovadadog off and on since 2005, and I've never had disconnect or software freezing issues. Brag, I know. However, in the last few days I've had a half dozen times where I'm on 2-3 tables and only one disconnects. There's no possible way this behavior can be related to an internet connection, otherwise it would disconnect all tables. Not sure what good posting this does other than to say "me too".

+1 to the disconnecting issue. Happens on cash much more often than sng or mtts for me.
06-13-2013 , 02:44 PM
Disconnects - Just started in the last few weeks for me. Not running any other software while playing. I immediately test my connection and there is no issue with it.

I wish the Bovada client would at least TRY to reconnect. The software knows I am disconnected so why does it not try to reconnect for me??? Instead, I have to close it completely and reopen.

When playing on Full Tilt if a disconnect happened, the client would automatically start trying to reconnect. Seems logical and simple enough that Bovada should do this too.

thanks man!!!

yeah the main problem (besides the obvious server side disconnecting issue) is that it simply DOES NOT EVEN ATTEMPT to reconnect you to the table. maybe 1/10 times (conservative) when the table goes dark and it disconnects, it will miraculously reconnect. This seems to be by sheer luck, as there is no visible sign that it is actively trying to reconnect.

This absolutely is an important issue that the network is looking in to. Unfortunately, on my end, all I can do is ask for information and pass it along. Any information that you can give me that can help them narrow down the cause has been shown to be very helpful in getting these things fixed. Hand history numbers where this happens is the most useful and wanted piece of information.. but if, as you said, you can't pinpoint a specific hh#, the table name/time you disconnected/your player # at the table can certainly be a good starting point.

Additionally.. a few tournament changes/additions:

The daily 17:30 $11 rebuy is being replaced by a $22 $2,000 knockout super stack.

Being added to the schedule:

Mon-Fri at 17:25 a $44 $5,000 guarantee 6max with 2500 chip starting stack.

Every Saturday at 17:25 there will be a $109 6 max with an $8,000 guarantee.
06-14-2013 , 11:24 AM
Sweet. Could we get the same 109 6max sunday too if the tourney does well? How about a 109 6 max plo on sunday instead?
06-14-2013 , 11:35 AM
or or or a 109 6max NLHE/PLO on sunday. nom nom
06-14-2013 , 12:20 PM
Nice tournament additions thanks
