For one, the size of the tables is too big. I don't know if it's my monitor resolution or what, but 2 tables do not fit on my monitor display (I did try to adjust the resolution a bit and still couldn't get the size right). They overlap and I can't see the action on both tables at once. I'm not sure if this is intentional or what, but if the idea is to let the players play up to 4 tables, there needs to be a way to minimize the current tables smaller, aside from dragging it from the side to minimize it (size is still too big).

Have you tried clicking one of the little icons at the top right of the table (near the close X)?

Another thing I noticed is that it's a little hard to take notes on players. On other poker sites, you can click (or right-click) on the opponent's name/seat, and then proceed to jot down notes on the player. The way you guys have it set up right now, you have to select the player from a scroll down list, then take notes. I think it's just more convenient if one were able to just right click on the seat and start taking notes, and then double click on that seat to see the notes for that player.

Will pass this on.

Finally, and I think this has been mentioned before, there is no auto rebuy function at the moment, which makes it difficult for the players that want to play with at least a full stack at all times. Right now, I'm just manually buying more chips once my table balance falls several dollars below the buy in amount, and it seems that this hassle can be easily fixed by implementing an auto rebuy function. Just my two cents, for what it's worth, but I think that making these changes will improve the gaming experience for all cash players.

Noted. Not something the network is interested in at this time.

As I said early on in this thread:

Tournament dollars: This is something the network is not interested in. Their satellite system is designed to increase the prize pool and participation in the larger tournaments.. not to build t$ to be used in other games.

Yes.. and I'm pretty sure that notes carry over between tables as well (so if you note player 161 at your starting table, and then see player 161 again at the ft.. your note will still be there).

New to Bovada, built a little poker bankroll, want to bet some NCAA tourney games. I can't log into sportsbook with my poker account number? Can I get my poker roll to a sports betting site?

I don't do anything with any other part of the site, but I would recommend contacting support.

Hand History Download Issue

I signed up and started playing Bovada in the beginning of Feb. I had been really anti the anon tables but a buddy told me to give it a try. I am actually digging it now; I think it makes some sense, unfortunately, in this day and age where it's impossible to know how much of your entire HH an opponent has on you. Anyhow, my issue is as follows:

I was playing part time for the month of Feb, approx 14k hands of NL50, and downloading my HH txt files as soon as they became avail (24 hour wait), and importing them into PT4 for review and logging of sessions. Everything was fine well, other than the annoying process of converting the HH files to work with PT4, but even this was fine. The HH text files would show up about 1 to 5 minutes after requesting the DL. After about 10k hands and a month of play, for some reason the "download requests" started hanging and getting stuck on the status "Download Requested". Knowing that Bovada has a limited 7 day window to DL the HH files I contacted them daily over a week's period to try to get this resolved. After hammering me to try different things with my internet connection and computer settings, they eventually said that it was a problem on their end and they "reset" my download requests. It didn't work upon the first "reset" but after a bunch more emails and phone calls they did something else and reset it again and all of a sudden things started working fine and the DL's available came through.

My issue is that by the time Bovada resolved this issue for me, 13 of my HH sessions went from "Download Requested" to "Download Period Finished" without ever downloading to my computer, the 7 day window expired and they are now unavailable for a download request. I, of course, hate having this gap in my data, missing approx 3k hands of info. I tried, exhaustingly, through email and phone, to list the missing 13 HH sessions and request for Bovada to email them to me or make them available to me. I did finally speak with someone who sincerely understood my issue, but after what seemed like several "hold" attempts while she spoke with her "higher-ups" about it, she said that they have no way of providing me with these "expired HH files" and said that all they can do is offer me a $20 tournament ticket for my hassle. I denied the $20 and have since stopped playing on Bovada. I honestly really want to continue to play, but I am making myself not, because of the issue. I am extremely frustrated on this. I stayed polite and calm during my exhausted correspondences with them, but I am so irritated by this. I paid approx $1k in rake and plenty of time over a month period, requested all of my HH DL's well within their 7 day window, they admitted that the problem was on their end, and yet still will not (or cannot?) provide me with these HH txt files.

I know this is kinda a long read. I tried to summarize my issue here with the hopes that a Bovada rep on here, who might understand the importance of HH to players, might reply and let me know if all hope at retrieving my "expired HH files" is gone.

I actually had this happen to me too. In 200k hands I hadn't had it happen. Didn't change computers or connection. Bovada says i need to reinstall. I will do that when i quit playing tonight.

Today's the big day!

$450 $250,000 guaranteed Main Event at 16:02 (2 minutes after the $162 $100,000). Good luck to anyone playing in it, and I hope someone here takes home the cash and the watch that also goes to the winner.

Also today is the final BDPO 2 event, a $162 $30,000 guaranteed at 18:02 et.

Good luck everyone!

Does anyone know when Bodog will be available to European players again?

3 questions:

Any information on the April 1st tournaments listed in blue in the lobby? They seem to be the normal tournaments but are all set to start 2 minutes later than normal.

Also, any information on the Anonymous Poker Series qualifiers listed in the lobby?

Will Bovada run WSOP main event qualifiers again this year?

Thanks for all you do!

Not sure on this.. will look in to it.

Info is up on the website. When I have an official word, I'll be sure to make a post about it

Will ask about network wide qualifiers as well.

Thanks for all you do!

I just returned to Bovada after not having played for probably 5+ years.

I've installed the new software, go to the lobby, see a table with 8/9 players, double click on the table and see...an empty table. 9 spots say Sit Here. No matter where I click, nothing happens.

Any ideas what's wrong?

And for the record, yes, I have deposited money. I can play blackjack. Haven't tried anything else.

Edited to add: In addition to seeing an empty table, I'm never prompted to buy-in. I've tried with auto-buy in turned on and also turned off. I've also tried preferred seating, on and off.

The most elementary thing to try is to uninstall/reinstall and see if that fixes it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that's one of the first things I tried...to no avail.

Meanwhile, I've at least made some money playing Blackjack

Bovada seriously has to have the worst promotions ever. Now their current promotion is entry into a tournament thats almost a year away with no cash bonuses for playing points or anything. This is ridicolous the players should boycott the site until they actually start giving back to their loyal poker players. They already eat us with the rake and no rakeback its just getting out of control now.

Yes, all 2p2ers should boycott Bodog... :-)

Since it appears you haven't managed to notice, I will spell it out. They don't care about regs. They don't care if you leave. What they really want is sports bettors gambling it up until all their money is eaten by rake. Winners stop this happening, so why would they offer you incentives to keep playing there?

Just enjoy it for what it is - a high(ish) rake, high variance, highly profitable site.

Ps. This is actually the Bodog thread, not Bovada. Promotions vary from skin to skin.

Ok, I've figured out the solution to bovada hand history download.

It's not that you need to reinstall (this did nothing), you just need to delete the folder of hand histories (I made a backup copy first obviously).

So I went to c:\bovada\hand history and copy pasted the 150242 directory to somewhere else and then deleted it. When I logged back in to bovada, all the missing hand histories were there.

I imagine signing in from a different computer would also fix this issue, although you'd have to transfer your hand histories over.

Obviously this only fixes the issue for hands that have happened in the last 7 days. Hopefully Bovada will take care of those who had this happen more than 7 days ago.
