There should be an option to make a deal at the final table of an MTT. Most mtts are small and are irrelivent but the 2k+ guarantees would be nice to have this option
I haven't been able to open Bovada client since the update. Live update window pops up and just sits there. After 2 days, I uninstalled and tried to reinstall. The installer from Bovada website fails to download the new client, downloads 1-10% of it then fails.
Checking with CS now, just wondering if anyone else figured this out.
I'm having the same issue. Any help out there??????
For Asia as well, I'm actually pretty disappointed in the way they proceeded to shut the down the site, no email notifications or on the client itself, I lined up my usual mtt schedule, 4 hours in, an mtt starts and it immediately says I'm disconnected from the server, while I'm still in other tourneys that are working just fine, I close and open the tourney a couple of times without any success, decides to restart the client while I still have other games running and others already registered and that's when I can't get in the client and anymore and hello the shutting down notice.....Tilting to the max and unprofessional.
Judging by the fact that the Bodog rep was in this thread posting about software updates 2 days ago, coupled with the fact that they killed the game servers in the middle of running tournaments, it's pretty clear this was not planned. Something doesn't feel quite right about all of this...
from pokeraffiliatelistings.com site - (cliffs seems to be just a rebrand)
Hi Guys,
Sorry for the delay in chiming in here.
Like the e-mail that went out mentioned, Bodog.co.uk is realigning its marketing strategy in that market and is looking to focus on bringing the Asian Live Dealer experience to the UK. Effective tomorrow October 5th, they will be taking down the Sportsbook, Racebook and Poker features off the site. Considering that Bodog.co.uk will eventually rebrand to the new casino offering, casino will still remain available for existing players to enjoy until the new offering is launched. Those players who wish to request a cashout will be able to do so without any hassles. When the new site launches any existing players that continue to play at the new casino will still be tagged to affiliates and you will continue to earn revenue from those players. Please note that all new player registrations will be suspended until the re-launch, which is why we’ve proactively asked affiliates to stop sending traffic until the re-launch.
In regards to Bodog.eu players, effective yesterday all product offerings were suspended, and players are able to request their balances to be cashed out. In the event of a migration to another Bodog brand/licensee in the future, those players will still be tagged to their affiliate and you will continue to earn revenue from those players.
These changes will have absolutely no effect on our other partner brands Bodog.ca and Bovada.lv, those brands are dedicated to their regions and are continually growing at exponential rates.
Like Prop mentioned, the Canadian Market is booming, the guys over at Bodog.net recently signed an exclusive branding sponsorship deal with a nationally syndicated Sports Radio/TV Show Prime Time Sports with Bob McCown on Sportsnet (Think ESPN’s Mike and Mike in the morning) Prime Time Sports . They also inked a deal with Canadian Football League (CFL) to be the league's exclusive free-to-play sports gaming and poker partner. They are constantly looking at increasing Bodog brand recognition in this region and its shown to have had a great effect on affiliate conversions.
If you have any other questions about the recent changes or if you have any other questions please feel free to drop me a line.
I just talked to Bodog support and they told me i can't access the Bodog poker network from Germany anymore. To my question concerning signing up via other sites from the network (Bovada/Bodog88) the answer was i couldn't since it would be treated as a double account and they would lock both my original account and the new one. Looks like atm there really is no possibility for players from Europe (Ger in my case) to access Bodog. Can u confirm that Ice? i would really hate to stop playing poker at Bodog. Love the anomynous tables and the site as a whole...

I believe that it won't be an issue if we contact the support to close/block our first account on bodog.uk then register on bodog88. Am I wrong about this ?

Word is it was absolutely planned and word leaked out as early as August.
"Players in the UK and Europe who wish to continue to play on the Bodog Poker Network may still be able to create a new account on Bodog88."
it says "may" and in the comments a site mod says that Bodog88 won't accept players from Europe. If anyone knows of any options for europeans to play at the Dog let me know

12:46:38 PM : D: Hi Yan, I am looking to join Bodog88.
12:46:50 PM : D: Do you accept players from Australia?
12:47:56 PM : Yan S.: Sorry Bodog88 only accept players from Asia.
Looking good...
BodogIce, any word on options for non-Asian, Canadian or US poker players??
Do we get to use our points at all or have them cashed in?
An option to convert tournament tickets that have actual cash value (IE: a statellite to any XXXX win) to actual cash. I have a 40+4 tournament ticket that id much rather have the cash value for than have to play a tournament of that buy in. IMO it would increase the amount of players in these kinds of tournaments that have tournament tickets as awards.
03:16:29 : S: Okey. What about the players from Europe ?
03:16:53 : A: Can register
03:17:52 : S: Are you sure about these informations ? Because I have seen on twoplustwo and other forums that players from Europe are not allowed to play on Bodog88
03:18:53 : A: Becasue you should apply for new username at bodog88.com
03:20:03 : S: You mean that they just can't use their old usernames on Bodog.Eu uk ?
03:22:53 : A: Alright you can't using old username please apply for new one
I just don't get one thing. Why do they dump their player base?? Why they don't want to allow European to play on bovada.lv or bodog.ca or whatever?? I understand that it might not be as profitable for them as other regions but why they just wont allow us to still play on another skin given that we bet on sport, rake inn poker games so it would increase thier profits right?? It doesn't matter if it is bovada.lv or bodog88... I mean WTF is this ****.
It is just beyond ridiculous. No warning no nothing. We were informed like the day before it happened.
