Like morphy pointed out.. I have no connection to the cashier side. But I would recommend calling them.. that generally seems to be the best way to get answers regarding cashier issues.

They probably have an issue with a payment processor in your area. Would you rather they do what FTP did?

For the last several days, the "remember account" and "remember password" functions don't work for me. It's particularly annoying when the client crashes.

It would be a big improvement if notes carried over rather than getting erased once your session ends.

+1 Obviously. But this would go against their goal of doing everything they can to take any edge they can away from winning players.

If notes persist, then anonymity is gone.

The only reason many of us are able to play poker online at all is due to Bovada's adherence to a strictly anonymous player pool. Some of the ramifications of this policy are a bit stifling, but on the whole it is this policy that allows the site to remain open to all US states.

I don't know where you got this information, but this is not true at all. Anonymous players have nothing to do with the legality of sites open to US players.

Answer this please:

Players in NY can play on bovada if they had an account prior to the ban on signing up new players.

Can those players cash out? Are they playing for money they wont be able to cash out?

Yeah as far as I know, the two things aren't related. There are US-facing sites that offer normal (ie. non-anonymous) play.

Bodog does this for their own reasons - mainly to give less of an edge to "sharks".

I'll alter your statement a bit to say that they do it to give the appearance to the casual player that there's less of an edge for the sharks.

DJs statement was correct. They do it because it is absolutely lessens the edge good players have and that results in them making more money. Casual players could care less about anonymity and in fact it almost assuredly lessons the whole experience for them. Most players enjoy creating a persona by having the ability to think of a unique screen name and choosing avatars ect.

I'm not sure if you still play there or not, but based on my personal experience, I disagree.

Yes I still play there but Im not sure how thats relevant regarding this topic. Just because you still have a large edge over bad players without being able to take notes on them does not change the fact that you would have a larger edge if you were able to actually keep notes. And theres zero debate that removing an edge good players have and leveling the player field results in a site making more money. Im not sure what possible personal experience could change those two undeniable facts. But fair enough, we can agree to disagree.

I stand corrected. My apologies for the misdirection.

Use notepad to take notes on them or, if it supports HEM, Take notes in HEM.

what good would that do if you can't find the player again?

They won't ever do this, they do everything to decrease regs edge and they are worried that it would help us a lot with bumhunting (which is true).
Of course it would be very helpfull yet we all know how it goes with bodog, if they could they would do everything to make the games as bad as possible for regs.

The point is being able to take notes for the NEXT time you site with that player. We already can take notes in a session or tourney but once that player or you leaves, the notes on that player disappear.

As it is now in ring games, you could take notes on someone, then if they leave the table for 5 minutes (as in "get up" not just sit out) and when they come back the notes do not reappear.

This can be just as exploitable as permanent notes. Sit at a table, get a read on a few players--get up--and when you come back they have no idea you're the same person but you have the edge of prior knowledge of their style.

With no wait lists and full tables not appearing in the lobby, how often does this situation even come up that it would be worth it?

Then what good to take notes in the first place?

Ice, any updates on these? Some of these issues go back to last year (the add-on/rebuy issues, etc.). The latest thing they broke (stacked monitor issue) is really annoying and has cut my playing time down to like 10% of what I usually do.

It's good for your current session only. That's the point. Anything to take away winning regs edge.

A few suggestions:
1) Fix the 5-minute rule to allow a player who has left the table to resume their original seat and exact same chip stack during the period. If the intention of the rule is to prevent seat-hopping and "going south", then prevent only those things. Temporary internet issues happen to everyone from time to time. Allow for this.

djk suggested this early in this thread, so it has been passed along. As far as leaving voluntarily and coming back, they said that wouldn't be possible... but they said they'll look into it for people that were disconnected (which is what morphy is talking about).
Just found this one by accident. I clicked sit out and got caught up longer than I thought I would. The table then picked me up, and I was able to sit back down immediately with any buyin. I had 190BBs on a 100BB max table, and the most I could buyin for was 100BB. I tried it again on purpose and it let me buyin for 30BB.

Seems like a pretty easily exploitable bug by ratholers because it completely bypasses the 5 minute rule.

Is this still a problem for you, or anyone else?

Same as before.. I know they are being worked on and are high on the priority list. I don't know when there will be a fix for them, just that it's sooner rather than later.

I'll ask about this.

PM me with any relevant info... sng number, hand number, what seat number you are, where in the hand/sng these disconnections are occurring.
