I have a Canadian dollar account on Bodog. I just attempted buying into an empty 200NL table, I then immediately cashed out, not playing a hand. I did this a couple times.

Each time I bought in and cashed out, my account balance was $0.01 lower. I realize it's just $0.01 but this is a consistent action in which Bodog is taking money out of my account.

When I cash out larger amounts from tables, is it skimming money from me? Is it skimming money from me among the hundreds of times I reload chips during a session?

This is a major problem with the software. I'm going to want some answers from Bodog. Also, I doubt we have any recourse, but is this something that the gaming commission licensing them has the ability to deal with?

As listed above, looking at my ecash statement it buys me in for ($202.79) then cashes me out for $202.78, then for next transaction buys me in for ($202.79) then cahses me out for $202.78.

So it is clearly programmed into their software to round up purchases of chips, and round down cashouts.

Hopefully this isn't the tip of the iceberg and there aren't bigger irregularities in their cashier!

I have it and everything was OK until day before yesterday then Bodog decided to change USD-EUR currency rate from standard http://www.xe.com/ucc/ rate (about 0,76 last days) to fixed 0,64.

So for every $100 I win it costs me about €12 because of the currency rate differences.
It's like burning my money!
Whats the deal with it? If you use the same rate for sitting down at a table as when you leave the table its ok. Just play higher limits?

The CAD issue is a bigger one. have to check if its the same for EUR accounts.

Thanks for the hint

It sounds like something Ultimate Bet used to do to me.

Finally got the hand history folder with hand history files, but, does anyone know if these can be imported into HEM to view? How does one find only their hands?
04-19-2012 , 03:15 PM
HEM is aware you can now download HHs..last time I checked they hadn't yet updated hem to import these hands

In that case, how would I be able to analyze my own hands given there is no "handle" attached to the hands other than '[ME]', from what I see in the text files?

When HEM updates, you'll be able to see your stats. Until then, you can not do anything with the HHs

Still noticed the 17 minutes after the hour lag this evening, though it wasn't quite as severe.

Hey guys,

I'm really sorry that I didn't post earlier in the week when everyone was having issues, I had a few unexpected things pop up in real life. As you should have noticed, there was a release that fixed the issues that everyone was having earlier in the week (not being able to buyin/reload etc). Also, there was a release that allows players to have the option of choosing Spanish as a language (along with Chinese and English). I see you guys are still having issues with the normal lag, and it is an issue that Bodog is working on, and that's really all I know about it.

As far as this thread goes, it is time to get it back on track. I understand that, as the 2+2 face of the network, I am open and willing to take the heat when things aren't going correctly. However, when it gets to the point that players aren't even willing to look in the thread to get any new information that may be available to them, then things are getting out of hand. You know, I know, and Bodog knows that a large number of players are experiencing lag.. and to remind me about it and push Bodog to get it fixed is great.. but to harp on it to the detriment of other posters isn't doing anyone any good.

To get this thread back on track. The network has rolled out a bunch of new things lately. I'd like to get some feedback on these things, plus I'd like to hear any new suggestions, changes, or improvements that you guys would like to see to any part of the Bodog Poker experience.

Could you let Bodog customer service know?

Here's some feedback:

Stop rolling out new, untested features that end up causing problems.

Fix the lag.

Can you at least find out if Bodog is aware that the lag problem is on their end and that they are doing something about it? Customer service is hopefully clueless about the issue as you saw from the ridiculous emails they sent me. From a player standpoint as far as I'm concerned, based on their feedback, they are refusing to accept responsibility for this lag issue and are pushing it off onto their customers.

The only new things (for cash games) I'm aware of are the downloadable hand histories and the fact that they show everyone's hole cards. Both are great developments but have been buggy. For a while, some hand histories required well over 24 hrs for the hole cards to show up. The downloading didn't work at all right away for me. After reinstalling the software it downloaded the next batch I tried but I was never able to get the hands I originally tried to download. Then, as noted earlier in this thread, hand histories starting around 4/7 wouldn't download. My hand histories starting 4/15 have now been downloading, but are in a slightly different format. If whatever issues there were have been resolved, great, but I've only played a couple of times since then so I can't really tell.

Cash game bugs/issues:

- Hourly lag
- Auto-post blinds unclicked when adding chips
- Pre-action buttons unclick
- Text you are entering in chatbox disappears when you have action on another table or click anywhere
- Default buy-in doesn't work
- Sit out next bb doesn't work
- Hand history problems noted above

Suggestions:

- Preferred seating
- Wait for bb option
- Alert sounds only option
- Some way to use poker points in cash games

Yeah I can talk to them about it.

Cash game bugs/issues:

- Hourly lag something they are definitely working on
- Auto-post blinds unclicked when adding chips I brought this to their attention one of the last times I talked to them
- Pre-action buttons unclick This too, I think. I'll bring it up again though just in case.
- Text you are entering in chatbox disappears when you have action on another table or click anywhere This is something they are working on fixing
- Default buy-in doesn't work I brought this up to them too and it's being worked on.
- Sit out next bb doesn't work This too.
- Hand history problems noted above I'll ask about this.

Suggestions:

- Preferred seating I'm told that this is in the works and is something that will be rolled out sooner rather than later
- Wait for bb option Brought this up last time, is something they were considering
- Alert sounds only option The sounds are something they realize aren't popular and is on the map of things to be worked on.
- Some way to use poker points in cash games I asked about this and is something they are still considering.

Awesome! I haven't had a chance to check the new mtts out yet but keep supporting those hu mtts so that they stick around.
04-20-2012 , 11:48 PM
Yes, in Morphy's defense, although he may have carried on about the lag more than most would deem necessary, I'm sure it doesn't help defuse the situation when almost every CS reply tries to blame the problem on the customer. Hopefully after Ice brings it up, the word will filter down to CS eventually and those replies will change.

For the record, I won't bitch if they implement this before fixing stuff
