I asked about it in passing but I'll ask about it again.

Something needs to be done about disconnections - I flopped the nuts 3 ways, call a small flop bet, and it disconnects. No worries, I open my backup connection, have it connected within 15 seconds, but get nothing from Bodog.

It is now 15 minutes later, and I am still sitting here with all of my Bodog screens saying "You are disconnected. Please try to connect again.", yet my internet is working fine and has been since 15-20 seconds after I disconnected (assuming it was actually on my end, entirely possible it wasn't).

Also happened to me yesterday with TT on a 4 high flop against a drooler.

Is there a way that I am missing that tells the client to check again for an active connection? Cos at the moment it just seems to hang indefinitely, even though your connection comes back on (as internet connections tend to do...)?

Any point asking for a refund or similar??

Sorry for the rant, just kinda shirty that I could likely have got some good money right at the end of my session, but instead here I am whinging on 2p2.

In my experience, trying to get a reasonable answer out of support is just going to lead to pain and frustration. There's no way in a million years that they'll ever admit to a problem on their end even though they've had lag and disconnect issues for years. They'll just blame your connection, your firewall, the Mayans, etc. Best to just let it go and accept it as a consequence of playing on this site.

It sucks, and it sounds like a defeatest attitude, but they can't get the most simple things in a poker client right, so there's no chance they'll fix something like this.

The lag problem is getting ridiculous now.

Instead of wasting time on all these cosmetic changes, can something be done about the lag? At times, it get ridiculous, for about a full hour where the software is just chugging slowly. Bad enough that rake is higher than other sites, at least invest something into helping the software run efficiently.

Hi,

hopefully here is someone who can help me and clarify something. I am playing Bodog for 2weeks now and i like it so far. What happened friday nearly made me explode. I tried to register for a main event satelitte for 10$ and got an error message that i dont have a ticket for those!?

They are regular sats and even for the big 500$ qualifier i was unable to register. So support tries to tell me for nearly 2hours that those are private tourneys?! I mean 500$ buyin tourneys and they grt seats, and they try to really convince me that its a private tourney i try to register too...

The next hour i was in live chat where they finally asked me to send a screenshot of the error message. asked and done.

Today i get the answer that those are not available for my region! I am in Luxembourg (EU) so why am i excluded of a tournament series targeting the main event?

I really hope someone can give me a satisfying answer here as the online support treats my like an idiot and i dont really get why my buyin shouldnt be allowed here?

I am a player like all the others too, so why exclude so from Luxembourg?!

Best regards,
Mike

Please, please, please for the love of god address this Ridiculousness that is 30 second timebanks EVERY HAND AND then a 90 second timebank on top of that.

This is absurd. 120 people from the money and there are 4 people at my 100k table who are using the full 30 seconds every single hand. Im getting 5-7 hands FOR THE ENTIRE LEVEL IF IM LUCKY! THIS IS ABSURD AND REALLY REALLY TILTING.

10 second action clocks and 30 second timebanks please and thanks. FOR ALL TOURNAMENTS

I agree it's an issue, but your numbers are a bit low. What do the big sites use? I believe 30 seconds per action and 60 second timebank per tournament. That would be reasonable, if Bodog's 30 seconds were actually 30 seconds and not the 35-40 seconds that it takes the software to fold someone.

Sorry. but cant find how do you get your hand histories? I am only able to view them while in play when i click on last hand. As far as i understood right now, we somehow have the ability to download the HH from somewhere to a HH Folder? Can someone be so nice and give me hint how to proceed.

Thank you very much.

Also, as far as the lag issue is concerned, this is something that Bodog is taking seriously. If you guys could help out a bit, that would be great. Here is what I need:
Anytime you have a problem with disconnecting or experience lag in a hand, pm me the hand number. It can be a pm per hand, or save up a list and send them along, but allowing them to really start pinpointing where these things are happening should go a long way in correcting these problems that you guys are experiencing.

This also goes with any trouble you guys might be having with downloading hand histories. If there is something that you requested a download for (which is available approximately 24 hours after you play the hand), and you've checked the correct folder, and it isn't there... please pass that info along.

Thank You Bodog_Ice for you help and dedication to making this a better playing experience for us all.

From what I've seen it's typically been every hour or so that things happen. On a good night things go back to normal in a minute or two. Bad nights like Sunday night, after 10 minutes of lag I just gave up and logged off.

I'll start tracking hand numbers and send them to you after each session. I hope others will do the same.

Thanks for fast reply.
I dont find that. I only see "hand history search" and "game transactions".
Under HH search i have options to search a certain hand number or search by date.

Go to the game transactions tab, everything is there. No clue why they didn't integrate it into the existing hand history tab that everyone is used to, but they didn't.

I'm just wondering if it's the network capacity not being able to handle the amount of logins an sort of like if your watching a football game and the network starts lagging because of the the amount of people logging in same thing with the internet the more people on the slower it goes.

run bovada as administrator. I said it a couple pages ago but realize people dont read all the posts.

Very possible, although it scares me since they have 50-100x less traffic than other sites that are able to handle their traffic just fine.

Really seems like some sort of memory leak/CPU hogging situation where there's a job that runs every hour to recycle something. Who knows though. They can't get the most basic things right in a poker client, so I'm not even gonna guess the disaster their server infrastructure is. As an infrastructure guy myself, it scares the crap out of me.
