Someone made a post claiming to be their security company, my words. They said they tried to get in touch with BetCoin several times to warm them of a hole in their security and never heard back. They said they would sell the list if BetCoin never got back to them. The thread/post was deleted within minutes. No clue if it has anything to do with anything, just sharing it.

I would like to have your thoughts on the fact that you are now the poker manager of a company that stole players' funds 4 months ago by keeping the players' BCHs.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2152902.0

If Betcoin did not want to deal with the BCH splitting (but they apparently had no problem doing it for their own benefit), they should have warned their players to cash out before the fork to cash in after so that they can do it by themselves.

They did the contrary, they let them believe that everything was gonna be fine and that they would take care of them.

Betcoin just preyed on the least savyy of their players to rob them blind.

We can make some assumptions on how much got stolen by Betcoin.
The Betcoin hot wallet was often around 50 BTCs, so let's be generous and say that the hot wallet is set to be around 10% of the total players' funds money (it should be less than that).

Total players' funds around 500 BTCs in August.
BCH worth at the time: around 0.15/BTC (even up to 0.3x on Kraken and 0.4x on Bittrex during the first 48 hours).
Funds stolen: ballpark of 75 BTCs.
BTC worth at the time: around $3k.
Funds stolen: probably around $225k ! (now worth $1.275M).

If you truly are the new poker manager and not yet another character created by Jessica, then you should know that your salary is probably paid by stolen funds.

Secondly, yeah indeed they did something.
They promised to reimburse their players up until Xiaoxiao's admission, so until 6th of May '17 if they keep raking for them.

Did they ? They paid some batches to some of their players. Not all of them. And then they stopped completely.

They lied invoking "accounting issues" and then finally did admit that they did not intend to fulfill their promise.

They indeed did something, they outright scammed their regulars by lying to them to make them keep playing on the site with the hope to recoup some of the money owed.
Turns out they got ****ed one more time, and on this one Betcoin can not deflect on someone else.

Pro tip: if you read this and start pondering whether or not to play there. Please, always keep screenshots of everything.

Hi guys, long time lurker here making my first post. Have been playing Poker online for about 3 years now.

I have mainly been playing on Pokerstars/Party. Signed up to betcoin* a few months ago, but never got round to making a deposit.

Decided last night that I would make my first deposit. After being sent multiple emails stating that I'd get a 100% first deposit bonus. I checked on the website, and this offer was still valid.

I decided to ask the live chat to make sure I was still eligible for this, but I was put in a que of 3 people, which didn't go down for about an hour. So I made by first bitcoin transaction of about 3mbc, I received no bonus!

I finally got through to the support on live chat. She said that I had to have qualified to the next rewards level (level 2), before I'd be eligible for the bonus. I don't understand how you are meant to achieve this level before having funds in your account, but oh well. I asked I was entitled to any bonuses at all, as a first time player, could I get any tickets? She gave me a firm NO, and told me that I would have also had to deposit 10mbc to get the other bonus. There was no mention of this at any time when depositing. Considering the rise of BC, I would have had to deposit about $150 to hit a bonus.

I just think it's crazy they are advertising a 100% match. I've played about 10 different clients, this is the only website so far where new players can get no bonus after making my usual deposit of $40.

Aside from that, the software is good and the players seem weak. It's a shame how rude customer service was, and how little they value new customers.

Sorry your experience hasn't been ideal. Service is very important to us and if you have any issues, feel free to contact me directly.

Regarding the bonus policy, i cannot change it, but it is pretty easy to advance to the second level (usually takes under a week of regular play). Also I will be offering additional deposit bonuses in the near future.

I'm pretty sure this is false and what really happened was:
- no announcement was made
- players questions were ignored
- threads were locked on Betcoin where the issue was being discussed

The only real BCH announcement was that Betcoin would be accepting BCH deposit and withdraws.

You could easily prove me wrong by linking to the announcement and I will apologize.

You found out like the rest of us that almost everything Betcoin says is a lie. Not at all surprised the company stole everyones bch. Their whole business model is to steal as much as they can get away with.

My personal opinion is that the rep should be banned but maybe it is better to see the excuses first hand here. Everything this rep has done in this thread is exactly the Betcoin playbook. Steal first, apologize later but do nothing to correct it and then make excuses that are also full of lies.

That is a lie.

Here's the official announcement regarding the BCH fork from Betcoin released on the 29th July '17:
Quote:
We would like to take this opportunity to let you know our plans as we prepare for the potential disruptions to the Bitcoin (BTC) network. We must state that our primary focus is always on you our great customers and we will always make decisions with your best interests, safety and security in mind. In the event of a User Activated Hard Fork (UAHF) on August 1, 2017, the new currency created would be an alt coin like LTC or ETH and would not be supported. This new currency has been proposed to be called Bitcoin Cash (BCC). Depending on its benefits and user demand, we may support it in the future.

BTC would continue to be supported and will always be fully supported. We will not be suspending service in anyway, deposits or withdrawals and will continue to run in full to provide you a great service. We may increase confirmation times to 3 confirmations but will update this thread no later than 31, July 2017 if we decide to do so. Withdrawals may undergo a bit more scrutiny but will not be delayed. We believe that the bitcoin network will remain wholly unaffected by the transgressions over the next 30 days.

As always, we will also continue to support LTC and ETH with no delays or issues. Again, our focus is on you our great players and we will continue to do what is right for you. We thank you very much for playing with us and the best of luck to everyone!

This makes no sense as a bonus scheme to myself, how am I meant to play until level 2 before I deposit, to get a first deposit bonus.

This is the only site I've seen that operates like this, whilst advertising 100% deposit bonus on the front page, and the countless emails you sent me saying the same thing.

It's not the end of the world, as $40 isn't that much. It's just a shame that you guys don't offer much of an apology, or anything for new players.

Wait what?
So it was mentioned in the player chat, which caused a 'hectic fury' or players trying to get their money off your site? THE DAY PRIOR TO THE FORK!?!?!
This is your argument?
What about all the players that weren't in the player chat. THE DAY PRIOR TO THE FORK!?!?!
wtf?
It's like Betcoin is run by a bunch of unethical scumbags who hired a bunch of idiots for customer service. Pathetic.

Here's what the player chat on Betcoin looks like:

The wording is very confusing? From what I understand because I have deposited already, I am not illegible for a bonus. Are you saying that if I play I will unlock a bonus for when I next deposit? Or have I already unlocked a bonus that I have to get with rakeback? Or was I meant to get to level 2 without depositing, and then I unlock a deposit bonus?

I'm not even massively bothered, I'm having fun on the site, and have managed to double my initial deposit. It's just a shame that it's been the most confusing joining process out of all the clients I've been on.

Hey there poker room rep. A few days ago there was some issues with the wallet. My account was locked, then re opened. I felt there was an issue with the balance so i contacted support. Few hours later, account locked again. It has been going on 3 days now that my account is locked with no response from my tickets or emails. Whats weird is that i can login to my account but it won't let me access my wallet.

Side note, the support button has completely dissapeared. WTF?

username- selfcontrol

After 3 days of being in the dark, i got an email from support at 1:30am. It read: "Did you participate in the poker error?".

End of email. WTF? 3 days ago i deposited 10 chips, plated some tournaments, took 4th in one, and my balance never updated. Account has been locked and support has dissapeared. Pretty pissed off.

Mega tilted at this point.
