Definitely Betcoin delivers in some key ways - decent software and HUD ability. It just needs traffic now on the cash tables.

HEM2 kinda works. Try looking up your cash game history in HEM2 - it doesn't record properly because of the bitcoin currency.

It does remember player stats though which is a huge plus.

Betcoin has a live help feature. I got on it asked a couple of questions and rep after 2 minutes says I have many other people to help just follow my directions and proceed accordingly. Not like I asked any questions repeatedly. When should customer service ever say I can't spend all day with you? When is 2 minutes all day?

They were pretty helpful when I was asking some questions. With the live chat it's usually very low level employees that have no idea what's going on and tend to be *******s because they make peanuts. Regardless, it's still uncalled for especially for a site trying to gain traffic.

so is it even possible to free the 100% deposit bonus? little to no cash games, and (I think I'm correct?) that the WPN-based tourneys don't accumulate any FPPs yet?

As far as I know it doesn't expire. I've cleared 47 chips so far, so it's going to be a while, but it does move.

I'm still waiting on my Coinbase account to verify my banking info, where is a good place to buy coins in the mean time that will let me use my debit? Every site I find that will let me buy them that way is charging like $100 more per BTC than what the current rate is.

Edit: or LTC

pT4 works perfect except it says $ instead of mBTC.

Soooo much better thanks seals... And I really like what seals has done, but we need software from the same century. I'll be starting tables at Betcoin. C'mon over.

So can anyone point me where to buy BTC while I'm waiting to be able to use Coinbase?

anyone hearing stories of chips disappearing? Now granted, it was only .1 chips (+/- $0.06), but I personally have seen it happen a couple times after logging in (positive I had 50 chips, and when I come back it's 49.90)...

I don't know any easy ways that aren't more expensive than the market rate.

My business accept BTC, so I usually acquire them that way.

Depending on how much you need, maybe someone will do a P2P?

I actually found some from a friend finally! Now all I gotta do is ship the $100K tomorrow and have it all in my bank in a few days! WPN already has decent cash outs, but this is going to be amazing.

Hopefully Coinbase will have my account ready Monday, can't believe it's taken this long.

Yeah, really think that the BTC thing solves a bunch of problems for US online poker.

We just need some more cash traffic now.

I wish they just used USD currency equivalent on the site and you cashed on and off with BTC. I feel like having to convert mB to real $ numbers to know how big you're playing will deter a lot of people.

Re: converting to dollars.

Hmm, maybe. I just think of it as something like a foreign currency. I got used to the conversion pretty quickly playing on seals.

If I recall, studies have shown that people gamble more freely with casino chips vs actual cash, and I notice a little bit of that with the mBTC situation. It can help to disconnect from the utility of money a little. For me at least, I don't mind, but I certainly can understand the point of view.

I doubt it. These guys are so clueless about how online poker works. There is not one person over there that is competent enough to run a poker room.

They are focused on giving out 5 chips or 10 chips here and there which only attracts free loaders. The main thing they should be focusing on is bettering the poker room, creating a consistent rake structure (the rake is all messed up... some tables rake a lot, some rake too little, etc), creating consistent games, etc.

But they're focused on giving out freebies like it's a grand opening of a restaurant, except the restaurant isn't even finished yet. And now they are overwhelmed with all the requests and inquiries of free loaders (not real players) that they don't even have time to fix the real problems (nor do they know what the real problem is). They will not make it unless they make some changes to staff/management.

As opposed to which Bitcoin site that does better? Betcoin is at least adding new people and learning. Betcoin is still a longshot, but I think they're a better longshot than the others.

PT4 had an unrecoverable failure on me this morning importing hand histories. I'm trying HM2 and so far it's working better. I also have some hope that HM will be supported, whereas the folks at PT seem to be hostile to bitcoin and willing to let that determine what they bother to fix.

On a side note, betcoin does have the lowest rake out of all the sites. 70 chip pot only raked .50 wow!
