I've been taking acethiest's advice these days and this is a full interchange from just now in Battlefield:

el_imbecil> Poker manager?

PokerMGR> Hello, How can I help?

el_imbecil> Hello. I just wanted to ask you why my funds have been frozen and why I can't sit down at any tables.

PokerMGR> PLease contact your operator, .
PokerMGR> Im sure they will be able to help.

el_imbecil> I've been trying to do so, but to no avail. No response whatsoever.
Also, if my funds were safe here on microgaming they shouldn't be frozen, now should they?

PokerMGR> sorry there is nothing we can do, you have to try to contact them again.

el_imbecil> I understand you probably can't answer my questions hand in heart Pokermanager, and I know you're with us in this. Thanks anyway

PokerMGR> good luck.
PokerMGR> Good luck

el_imbecil> Thanks!

PokerMGR> Good luck

el_imbecil> It seems we will need all that luck

what I can tell u however is that betfred does not hold money in trust, altough this is to a certain extent hijacking this thread, you might want to consider makin a new one

go to a table and say I'm locked out cant get on this table....

usual call operator etc etc from PkrMngr

then say

Cant haven't been able to get through or get a response since 28th Feb

blah blah

Then fire in with this

xxxxxx> I am concerned about my funds
xxxxxx> is my money safe on Microgaming
PokerMGR216> I totally understand your frustruation,if you would like to make a formal complaint about any fund, please speak to them.
xxxxxx> who am i complaining about
xxxxxx> and who am i complaining to
PokerMGR216> Speak to your support, they can do an investigation to see if you qualify for a refund due your current situation.
xxxxxx> there is no support
xxxxxx> you are the only support
xxxxxx> My money is invested at Microgaming
xxxxxx> On this network
xxxxxx> Is this network safe or not for my funds

Massive delay

PokerMGR216> Im affraid i can't be abble to help you, i assure they will be abble to help even to call you and finally to get back to you bcs your request is on the queue as there is a back log of calls that need to be attended to.

I left at this point, but could have carried on and on and on

i think this will cause some panic amongst players at the cash tables

I also talked to the pokermanager on a table which had some known regulars to me that still play... so I'll keep doing this every day like acethiest suggested.. hopefully everyone keeps doing this!

(i suggest finding a table with the regular people you played with and are still playing)

Just had a conversation with a Pokermanager. Tried to cut and paste but it didn't work.

First he said "I'm sure your funds are safe". He would not respond to a question of if Microgaming guaranteed my funds or questions about any how I would know if other skins were safe. He told me to contact support.

During this conversation, another player at the table said that the problem is with the skin, not Microgaming, and since he plays on a "big and popular" skin his money is safe. This is what we are facing. Other players on the network just plain don't care. They think it won't happen to them.

I found this small, buried story at Cardplayer.com. http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news...drops-30-skins
I suggest that others make comments as well.

I have also sent a message to the editorial staff at Bluff Magazine through their website.

Unfortunately, although traffic in cash games on the network had declined last week, I just checked Poker Site Scout and yesterdays numbers were back up to where they were before this happened.

Hypothetically, if we never got our money back, what do you guys think would happen to the actual skins. I mean right now we can all login and see our balances, but do you think one day we will login and our balances will be $0 or we just won't be able to login at all?

probably just wont be able to log in anymore, I wonder why they keep login up and running still, sorta pointless

Personally, I'd prefer to be able to login and see that my money is still there for as long as possible.

Raised my concerns with PKR MGR at NordicBet last night.

Reaction was somewhat different from 32Red.

Although I never mentioned Tusk, PKR MGR responded with:

"Tusk have gone into liquidation so everything is in their hands"

When I asked who exactly Tusk were and whether my money was safe, I got what sounded like a prepared announcement:

"We will make a formal announcement once we've had discussions with them"

Not sure who we and them is in this statement.

Disappointed to learn that Microgaming traffic has apparently recovered but urge others to continue these guerilla tactics at other Microgaming sites. I am determined not to deposit any more into Microgaming sites at the moment, but you do not need to deposit to speak as an observer- preferably to high spending regulars! Not sure if PKR MGR will respond in these circumstances, or how long it will be before you get banned but worth a try.

Still waiting for reply from Microgaming to my e-mail forwarded to them by 32Red!

Although not much help I'm afraid, below is the polite reply I have now received from 32Red:

Hi Graeme,

Thank you for your patience in this matter.

Please have a look at this article; it explains what is going on:

http://uk.pokernews.com/news/2008/3/...oker-skins.htm

You can also have a look at the MicroGaming site where they show their press release with regards to this issue:

http://www.microgaming.com/pressrelease_257.php

I’m really sorry that I can’t be of more use. Battlefield is another company then 32Red. All that we have in common is that we share the same software provider. I can’t tell you how Battlefield will resolve this issue.

If you have any more questions plz don’t hesitate to contact me directly.

Kind regards,

Isabel van Zuilen

When you call for a pokermanager at a table you get somebody from a group set up by MGS. They're not affiliated with any particular skin.

Although it looks like you might be talking about emails. I think the point of talking to the pokermanagers was that it was done in public on the tables, rather than via email.

Hi,

all time reader, first time poster.

It is very insulting... on the MGS site, there is two new press releases date on 11th of March 2008 about their new sh*t!

-Microgaming Reaches New Heights with Latest Lara Croft Slot
-Microgaming New Games Release Advisory: March 2008

...and nothing new about our problem. They don't give a f* about us.

Fred

Let's face it, the sudden announcement that Tusk went into liquidation would likely mean they don't have player balances to give back.

I suspect that is not what the other player was thinking. Let's review the facts:

1. You have lost money and you want to get it back.

2. You are attempting to persuade MGS to cover your loss.

3. Your chosen method of accomplishing this involves hostile action.

4. Your actions are damaging third parties: other Microgaming skins and other Microgaming players. You are hurting the other players because 1) you are damaging the games they either enjoy or make money from and 2) you are undermining the financial strength of the rooms that hold their money.

What a shock that someone said something against you. In all likelihood he is trying to protect his game and possibly his income form your attacks. You are being selfish and so is he. That's poker. Get used to it.

Don't be surprised when some of your accounts get closed. No reason why other Microgaming skins should put up with what you are doing. Make yourself annoying enough and you will probably be invited to play someplace else.

You guys don't get it do you, file a complaint with visa or mastercard, that processor for tusk has comitted fraud on grand scale, they will lock their merchant account. If there is still any money in their bank account visa/mastercard will hold it, I am sure that is better than some mysterious liquidator.

@romanwarrior, I never used my creditcard here.. kindof hard for me to tell them that tusk is committing fraud.. but perhaps other players can do it.

The alexa rankings don't mean crap here.

After you have downloaded the software, why would you go back to their website?

That's interesting. Did not know that. Why such a different response then?

If you are at a table in the client and contact the pkrmanager through chat, you will get someone employed by MGS (or one of their subsiduaries).

If you email the poker manager for your poker room (e.g. pokermanager@32red.com), you will get someone from your skin.

Hence the different responses.
