I'm an American who is looking for a bank that is open to American poker players . I'm mostly looking to wire USD from Skrill to a USD account, although Euro's are also acceptable.

I live in Seoul, Korea, but am happy to travel. Any advice as to which bank and where is good for me is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You chose to travel to a country, which has the toughest regulations on incoming/outgoing foreign currencies.

For Korea, Citibank/Woori/Kookmin

For Japan, none

Singapore and Thailand are the best bet.

I doubt a bank in Singapore will look very lightly on gambling transactions, as they are punishing people who gamble online quite harsh these days. I asked some guys i know in Thailand about the possibility of a bank account to use there for gambling transactions and they said that it was also impossible there.

That being said i have no better solutions, sorry.

From what I gather Korea also does not appreciate gambling transactions. Asia's not the best for banking :/

Probably Taiwan and China, see players from both those countries all day on Stars.

HSBC is big in HK, but they are hard to get an account with as a non-resident and also not gambling friendly any longer ;(

I have used thai Kasikorn for skrill transactions (only skrill -> bank and not big sums though), but it's not that easy to open an account there - you need student or business visa. There are few banks in Thai that open accounts with a regular visa, but im not sure if they work with skrill.
