I deposited to pokerstars a week ago though echeck. I belong to a local credit union who blocked sending the money after the transaction was approved.

Pokerstars has locked my account until I make the deposit right. Has this happened to anyone else?

I think it happens to anyone that doesn't have enough funds in their account to cover the deposit.

You should take the e-mail that Stars send to your credit union, and make them turn over the money because Stars approved the transaction.

my credit union blocked my card from being depsoited onto epass before they went down. so credit unions tend to be more strict about this stuff.

A few years ago my credit union credit card was declined for trying to make a deposit onto a poker site. No big deal I thought. The next day they called me and said they don't allow gaming transactions and if I try to do it again my account would be closed. It was pretty embarassing. I wonder if maybe your credit union has the same strict rules.

I would take legal action for making harrasing calls against them and other things, the law never came into affect, thus by making an attempt to deposit you are not breaking any laws, if the credit union doesnt want to honor the transaction its their perogative, but they cant threaten you with closing your account if you try again. I would sue the hell out of them.

Embarrassing? You should have told em to jam their account up where the sun don't shine!

Why do people put up with this crap? You know there are a ton of banks out there, any number of which would gladly take the 10 minutes to setup your account and most likely have no problems with gambling transactions. When looking to setup a new account I went around and there was about 8 different bank all within 20 minutes of my place. Hell, I even opened an account with a PS withdrawal check and told them exactly where it came from.

little bit of a bump, but you can open an ING account, I've deposited from there before and it worked okay, and you don't have to leave your computer.
