5/7/2008 02:12 PM BetUs (SBR rating D+) informs player of $18,300 confiscation

The bettor made his first deposit of $1,000 in April which he lost. BetUs contacted him to give him a $100 bonus which he also lost. The player made a second deposit of $1,000 on April 18th. He then made winning parlay wagers that brought his account to $18,300. He was told by management that the BetUs credit card processor has informed them of a chargeback dispute with poker site, Ultimatebet, that it also services. The player claims BetUs told him in order to get a payout he would have to settle the dispute with Ultimatebet. The player sent Ultimatebet $2,000 which cleared the credit card dispute and reopened the account in good standing. After resolving the issue with Ultimatebet, BetUs told the player they are keeping his winnings.

Player: On 4/10 i made a deposit of 1000, on 4/18 i made a deposit of 1000. I made a 5 team parlay on 4/18 - mets,nationals,brewers, cardinals -1 1/2, and indians that paid off around 13k...on the same day i made a 2 team parlay, indians -1 1/2 and whitesox -1 1/2 that paid off around 3k...(a few smaller bets also but not significant) the next day i went to withdraw and they froze my account...when they unfroze it for an hour a week later when i cleared up everything i made a few bets and won another 1600 mostly on the laker-nuggets game 3...On April 29th I spoke to Dan and he told me he is "confiscating my account", "we dont want your business" and he will reverse the 2 charges that i made BetUs

AVOID BetUs at all costs, and I will spare you the $300 story of how they are presently denying me a withdrawal as we speak. The site has many many sister sites that are also 'sham scam sites', with a history of questionable business practices.

God only knows what the poker at BetUs is like.

A similar thing happened to me a few years back with sportsbook.com and sportsbetting.com (when they were partners or under the same processor similar to the BETUS and UltimateBet situation you explain). My brother had chargebacks worth $40 on one of the sites so they locked my accounts on both sites and confiscated the monies. My brother claims he didnt owe them anything but I still offered the sites the $40 out of either of my accounts. They declined my offer and said they were confiscating my roughly $700 (i know, a very small amount but still BS). This was roughly 2 years ago and just a month or so ago I contacted sportsbetting.com and got my money back from there as they are now separate from sportsbook.

given that nobody has posted about this site in years I assume everyone know it's terrible but just thought I'd share my experience with this dumb site

so, I deposited $300 on this site ten years ago, just for kicks. make 10-20 small bets every year, have been running pretty hot actually, now sit around $800

figure I might as well cash most of this out before I blow it

turns out they don't let me because I don't have photos of the debit card I deposited with 10 years ago (!!!). when I asked what I can do if I don't have the card they suggested going to the bank and getting a transaction history. I don't use that bank anymore. have no clue what my account number was. I dunno how I'm gonna do this.

not only that but they've informed me I can only cash out $125 because I accepted a $25 free bet on some Browns/Bengals game (who will make the first field goal!! exciting!!). I do not get this at all, I can kinda understand a $125 rollover requirement but saying you can only withdraw 5x the free bet is so ****ing backwards and weird that it's giving me a stroke just thinking about it. Oh by the way I didn't even win the bet. I'm so ****ing confused.

I think it's important for people to know that even though they dropped the poker, they should still be avoided
