Any real evidence they are randomly closing Aussie accounts? Surely that would have happened years ago not now. A few people posting on here is not good evidence they could have been doing dodgy stuff.

Coinpoker is a new option for Australians.. Uses only crypto for deposit and withdrawls.

Action on Seals with Clubs has been picking up at peak times lately, and seems to be plenty of tables running on Coinpoker. Time to get crypto savvy if you want to play as an Aussie.

Would you recommend exchange or coldwallet, or both?

Exchange to buy, or swap cash for crypto privately. Wallet as intermediary between exchanges and gambling sites. If illegal/banned in your locale, the exchanges will close accounts too. Using a wallet in between eliminates that.

Anything in particular to keep an eye out for with regards wallets?

Better to go with a reputable brand to reduce risk of back doors etc etc?

I use exodus. Full disclosure, I'm an investor in it too. Trust Wallet is good, not as user friendly for noobs I feel. Electrum, plenty of options. I use exodus constantly and zero issues, also no KYC stuff. I've turned dozens and dozens of players on to it and never heard any problems.

Again, I'm an investor in the company just so it's clear. Passive investor, not work there.

I use blockchain.com as a wallet, never had a problem. No financial connection in my recommendation.

Just an FYI for a EU citizens living in Australia, Winamax is a legitimate option PROVIDED you still have an EU bank account. You need evidence of this bank account and the usual IDs but you can get verified. Deposits from Australia mainly via International Bank Transfers- but you can do it from your Australian Bank account. Any withdrawals have to go back to your EU Bank account.

Anything more on this re Australian players? Have made deposits and withdrawn without issue in the last few months.

How is the traffic in Winamax? do you play only against people from Spain, France and Portugal?

I only play MTTs but there is massive traffic on Winamax. I am not sure about how it is segregated but I doubt it’s just those countries as I am playing from Australia and I see streamers play from Asia etc.

Regarding traffic they just had their Winamax series which was massive (https://www.winamax.fr/en/winamax-series) and their Sunday schedule has a weekly $10 $40k among some other large field bigger buy in events.

The only issue is the time difference- it’s pretty dead morning/afternoon AWST. Pretty sure you can just download the lobby and check it out.

I think it depends on the time you play as well for Winamax right?

I think I remember a while back logging in around 8 pm AEDT and traffic wasn't that great, might have changed since then though.

Has anyone here used professionalrakebacks "invitation link" to sign up with ACR?? Is this legit does anyone know? Professional rake back guy/employee is the mod on loads of poker subs and i feel it may be legit, but it just looks so sketch to click on some random link to have to make the account. The other intructions are to then sign up using code "DOWNUNDER" and then choose your city as Auckland NZ and then make the rest of your address your actual address.

What is the problem with Ignition also? it has been working fine for me so far, juicystakes works too but they dont have customer service on the australian version of their website. Also coinpoker is apparently accepting aussies and i have signed up there but have yet to make a deposit after i realised they do no allow HUDs.

Ignore this, looks like I'm back in... strange though.
Ah yes i have experienced this many times its all good just try again later, kind of concerning when they message recently started saying that you will be blocked if you continue trying (even tho you are using autofill password). I think they just have the literal shittest buggy software ever

Hey folks, I play online through an agent, who sends my withdrawals in USDT to Binance. Is there any issues in withdrawing these funds directly to my bank account, if I'm not paying tax on it?
I understand that gambling winnings are not taxable in Australia. But how do you prove (if ATO/ bank raises this question) that the funds received from Binance are my gambling winnings?

Also if someone could recommend a tax accountant who deals with such scenarios, it would be great.
Sorry if this has been answered before - just wanna make sure I'm doing the right thing.

TIA.

I guess you would have to prove this by showing them a P&L summary from your poker site, showing them that you 'won' the money, maybe even providing hand histories.

Sorry, how? I mean - the money my agent deposits on Binance has no trail relating to poker. So how can I prove it, if questioned?

I know of at least one friend who did this successfully in the last 3 months. As the guide says, they got an email about 5 business days later advising the account was good to go and were able to deposit with crypto.

This regularly happens to me and it is an ISP issue. They will block the website but not the client (usually). If it ever happens again just use VPN to access the website and do what you need to do, then turn off VPN again to play via the client once your password or whatever is sorted.

Yeah that would have been roughly 10am Euro time so quietest time. I'll be getting up at 2am AWST to grind Igniton and Winamax. This would be the Winamax NLHE MTT schedule from around midnight to 0230 AWST ie peak Sunday grind time in Europe.

Those ETH fees are ridiculous though. And it's riddled with bots. I think Seals is the best option.

SWC has no traffic. The apps are by far the best options. Tons of traffic, stakes from nano to nose bleeds, lota of variants, easy on/off cashiering.

What are you looking to play and stakes? Kings and Crash ( the HS/nose bleed version of Kings) is mostly Mixed games and PLO. I am on both and mostly recs.

Any of the apps are good actually, just depends on game, stakes, and time of day you want to play. Have an Aussie club on Upoker that has solid traffic during normal Australian hours. Pokerbros, PPPoker, upoker, xpoker, Pokio, KK Poker, Suprema Poker all have good games and traffic, depending on the club.

Kings is mostly US traffic and Crash is predominantly Euros.

If you give me an idea of time, games, and stakes I can give you a much better idea of what is the best options.

i thought most Aussies play in their pppoker Union?

Recently more games on Xpoker app, games are much softer because they are country based.

There are Aussie clubs on other apps, upoker and xpoker have fairly active ones.
