I am unable to deposit any cash to Ignition poker, the team seems like a bunch of people that is unable to think or articulate any helpful response.

Is anybody else in my same situation?

I am told that i am unable to deposit via bitcoin as is required an initial credit card transaction, but they block my credit card because "unable to verify my information", but whe i contact them they ignore me and just keep saying ''try again in 24 hours''.. I have been trying every 24 hours for the past 5 weeks.

Would a voucher deposit allow me to deposit via bitcoin after?

There are plenty of Aussies playing on ACR and they are unlikely to be ISP blocked in the forseeable future as they don't target Australians.

Rooms on the Horizon network (JuicyStakes, Intertops etc) are likely to be blocked first as they do target Australians.

If this happens, changing the DNS server as mentioned earlier in this thread will fix it.

None of the current rooms look likely to block from their end.
Have you or anyone you know of had troubles with money getting seized because you're on an australian account? And not being able to withdraw?

I've not heard of any.

The ACMA ordered ISP blocks on Ignition (and a few other online casinos) acting on 79 complaints, mainly because of the withholding of funds.

I did try to withdraw from Ignition a few weeks back when the ISP blocks were announced but it was rejected as I had an outstanding bonus on my account.

As there have been no complaints lodged with the ACMA regarding other rooms, I would assume that they follow their financial responsibility when it comes to players funds.

Hey tyuh.

I send the USD from Ignition to Breadwallet on my phone. Then from Breadwallet to my bank account (Westpac) using the website “Living Room of Satoshi” which seems to “handle” the transaction for a fee.

For example, one time I sent $53.25 AUD and received $50 AUD with a fee of $3.25.
I used Bitcoin Cash.
Another time I sent $102.64 AUD and received $97 AUD with a fee of $5.64
This was Bitcoin.

I’ve only done this a few times and if there’s a cheaper way to do it, I’d like to hear it too.

Crypto’s value is so variable I think it’s a terrible option. Last withdrawal cost me 1.3k in lower crypto value. I just sold it to get out because markets will and have dives significantly and won’t recover for a long time

Ignition/Bodog, ACR, clubs like PPPoker and PokerBros openly take Aussies and then a few others that don't openly take Australians but don't actually enforce geo-blocking that we all can't really talk about publicly there then are also a few bitcoin sites like SWC etc

Can confirm that many Australians still play on ACR. Me being one of them. Without a VPN. Made my account years ago prior to the law - support has confirmed I’m fine and will have full control of my funds if anything was to change.

You cannot sign up a new account as Australian. But there’s ways about it.

Can you make your own home games on PS because I've just joined one with 30 players, I haven't played yet. Two little tourneys a day with a buy in.

If this is the case why can't people start a up home games and make them largish, so to speak.

There must be some obstacles?

Yes, the TD uses play money for the tourney and you pay for that play money into his bank account.

Could use it for cash games as well?

Pretty clever, I reckon some TDs or anyone could make a go of that idea with a bit of rake?

A word of warning. This was tried in the Czech republic when they regulated. Stars found it pretty quick and removed the Home Games option from the Czech client.

Posted this is another topic:

I'm looking to get back into online poker as well.

Can anybody suggest websites to play on from Australia?
Just moved here, so don't know much about the regulations here. I heard the only options are apps or something?

Anybody that can help?

For those interested in how it works. It just grabs a list of all the domains owned by ignitioncasino.eu and trys all of them until one has success.

Not harmful at all.
You the goat. I thought online was dead but now im back baby!
Are we still safe to deposit and withdraw? Don't want my $$$ to freeze up. I need some reassurance. Is Ignition cool with us playing still?

Been hearing rumours of Australian being able to play on GGPoker, does this have any truth to it?

mind sharing? as i said earlier in the thread my account (created and played on before the ban - though was $0 balance at the time of the ban) is suspended and have made multiple requests to support but always told Australians are not allowed to play. When I mentioned knowing other Aussies were allowed to play they just say "we cannot discuss other accounts"

I'm from sydney and haven't played much online previously, other than on stars when it was legal. I wont do pppoker as it relies on trust, so anyway i can play with no hassle to withdraw on a trustable site. I want something that wont stuff up after deposting cash. I heard that using VPN's might get you banned as well.

My exchange said australian banks don't like bitcoin and may shut down your bank account so don't ever put in a reference as bitcoin. Will a australian bank ever shut down your bank account if you deposit money into a bit coin exchange in order to play online poker?

I deposit/withdraw directly using the Commonwealth bank at local exchange CoinSpot.com.au with no issues whatsoever.

This is purely for convenience as they allow you to keep AUD on site so you don't have to hold potentially volatile cryptos.

Also remember, you are doing nothing illegal by depositing on a real money poker room. The law is specifically targeted at operators, not players.

I currently play on Ignition, but looking to leave this room ASAP and move somewhere else.

From what I have understood around the best options for us playing from AU are ACR and Black Chip Poker, which belong to the same network.
Does anybody have any relevant feedback on the 2? Are we allowed to use ACR from AU? Can we use just BCP?

Are there any other poker room recommended?
