Have access to many clubs on 6 or 7 apps. I pretty much play on the apps almost exclusively now.

Client based sites for Aussies: Ignition officially. Three more sites you can play with a bit of effort.

You deal with a club owner or agent. Apps to look at are Pokerbros, upoker, xpoker, Suprema Poker, PPP Poker. O k ow of Ahssie clubs on Upoker and PPPoker, but you're not restricted to those ubs. Mention it in case that's your preference.

I play on a few clubs on Pokerbros. Usually get some 20NL and other stakes going a few nights a week but can be inconsistent. Good fun, soft games and lowish rake is nice though.

It’s been mentioned before, but CoinPoker is a very good option.

Hey guys,

Been MIA since the ban came in but just started to get the poker bug back again. I have had a read through this thread and most of you are recommending Ignition but can't many negative comments which is good. Are there any red flags I should be aware of? And how has your experience been in regards to everything including traffic, players, cashouts etc. I will play low-mid stakes MTTs ($10-$50) and the same for cash games (probably 50c-$1 or $1/$2).

Any info will be highly appreciative

Regarding traffic they just had their Winamax series which was massive (https://www.winamax.fr/en/winamax-series) and their Sunday schedule has a weekly $10 $40k among some other large field bigger buy in events.

The only issue is the time difference- it’s pretty dead morning/afternoon AWST. Pretty sure you can just download the lobby and check it out.

winamax is not legal in AUS

I'm a 65-year-old Sydney man who relocated from the U.S. and have been limited to the Star, Poker Palace and various RSLs. I don't care for multiple re-buy tourneys, and don't like the player dealt games. After studying this thread, I decided that I missed the on-line scene too much and forced myself to understand Bitcoin. I'm sharing my experience and choices here, because if I can get a deposit onto SwC Poker in less than a day, there's really no excuse for any Aussie who would simply like to have the possibility of some Internet tables available, mostly morning to afternoon.

I chose Electrum 4.3.1 for my wallet because it's free, secure, and has reasonable rates to complete a blockchain transaction. Straightforward install, although somewhat difficult interface to get familiar with. Once you get it set-up by following their instructions exactly, the next part is not intuitive. Select View and show addresses. The Addresses tab has a list of receiving and change addresses. You want to right click on the first receiving address and copy column -> address. That gets it ready when you purchase Bitcoin.

I decided to use buy.bitcoin.com.au to fund the Electrum wallet. They accepted my NAB credit card with no hassles! I had to provide images of my driver license and a selfie. It took about ten minutes to get through this verification. In order to test this, I bought 0.01 BTC and provided the valid wallet address from Electrum. There's a 3.9% commission, 1.99% gateway fee for Visa Cards and $0.46 AUD network fee with $1.66 GST on the fees. My test transaction was a total of $315.70 AUD for 0.01 BTC at the then current rate of $29,697. Essentially a 6% fee.

The funds hit my Electrum wallet in about ten minutes for a full 10 mBTC. So, I had something for deposit to SwC. Now you go to the send tab in Electrum and paste into the "Pay to" box, the address that SwC provides for deposit. Be sure to switch in the SwC cashier, to the orange BTC from the default green Bitcoin Cash. Do not use Old Format, just click on Copy Address. SwC only provides the address, you have to choose the amount in Electrum. This took about five minutes to clear and cost a small amount of BTC. I decided to test by sending half of my account to SwC (5 mBTC). The transaction fee was 0.009 mBTC here, which is acceptable, leaving me a balance of 4.991 mBTC in Electrum.

It took about ten minutes for the SwC cashier to acknowledge that I had successfully deposited 5,000 µBTC. After that, it's all poker. Everything on SwC is a fixed amount of chips per Bitcoin. So, I ended up with a reasonable 5,000 chips at the conversion rate of a million chips per BTC. This is more than sufficient to buy-in several sit and go tourneys to get used to what looks to be a decent user interface. Also, more than sufficient for the 10/20 6-max jackpot NLH, currently at 4.3 BTC for Aces full of kings or better losing with both hole cards in play.

There are no sign-up bonuses, although you can theoretically earn as much as 50% rake back with SwC. It's also a different wrinkle to be playing with such a volatile BTC, however the advantage of not having to provide anything more than an email address on sign-up is an amazing testimony to anonymity. I don't see a huge amount of traffic, and don't expect to multi-table much, if at all. This actually suits me just fine, and it might be the best solution for others. Remember this is perfectly legal, as the site does not collect residential data from their customers. Everything is anonymous, and I was impressed that I didn't need any additional third party accounts like Skrill to play small stakes on-line again.

I'm continuing the SwC topic. Okay, close to two weeks, and having now played through two Saturdays. I realize the 10/20 NLH jackpot game doesn't happen enough to justify keeping 5000 chips on account. There is also virtually zero SNG action. Therefore, after a modest 54 hours of entertainment and stuck less than a .25/.50 buy-in, I decided to test the essential withdrawal function. I chose 3000 micro BTC to withdraw, selecting the minimum mining fee. This hit my wallet in about 12 minutes with a cost of .0000218 for a .003 BTC transfer. Less than 1% to move funds back to my wallet. I know it's about 6% more to convert this to fiat currency, but don't intend to do so unless BTC goes over 35,000 against the USD.

It does seem possible with all tournaments having guarantees, that there will be an occasional overlay. They have sufficient stacks for 6-minute levels, with a gradual blind increase. However, there's two hours of late registration and typically 2-4 re-entries available. They seem to just make enough in entries to cover the guarantees. More often than not, tourneys don't achieve a minimum of six participants to get started. There are several daily freerolls (always on, with about half sitting out), so it's possible to bink one for a few chips. Enough for a no-rake buy-in at .02/.04 when this goes. Therefore, it's possible to avoid any deposit.

Pros:

Fully anonymous.
Very fast cashier transactions.
50% rake back for first player to open a new table.
No country restrictions.
Player loyalty rewards program level is visible with mouse-over; useful to quickly recognize regs.
Soft action up to 1/2 NLH.
5-card PLO-8 games occasionally at low stakes.
Multiple versions of open face Chinese Poker at almost any time.
Occasional exotic poker variants.
Excellent user interface.

Cons:

Limited traffic, about 100 players on-line average.
Games frequently shorthanded and subject to breakdown.
Fully anonymous.
BTC volatility.
Players with connection difficulties.

I never considered myself an NLH cash game player, as my preference has been 7-stud H/L-8 or better. However, I have quickly discovered I can play heads-up or shorthanded NLH, at least at the .50/1 or 1/2 blind level. I really need to dabble in the Chinese Poker variants, as I used to play this proficiently many years ago in the back of a pool hall. In any event, my purpose for posting all of this, is to simply say there really isn't any reason for Aussie players to have to put up with the bullshit government restrictions. I wish I had known about this sooner, as I enjoy having fun again.

best options for Aussies except GG is Ignition, Coinpoker or Apps like Pokerbros AND ClubGG

how are you playing on GGpoker from Australia? I guess through VPN usage? you should immediately stop that as you will experience problems with playing with a vpn on GGpoker.

However, Betkings has vpn allowance

You can sign up to gg under another country and play similar to acr., used my Australian id to verify as well and it got accepted lol You dont need to use a vpn. I only play while im working,. Been on there for like a year and a half now.

Havent withdrawn yet though, that could be a problem, you can probably get around that with a swap like gg for acr

I'm going to guess you will have trouble withdrawing if you verified with an Australian ID unfortunately.

x2, You'll definitely have issues trying to withdraw, you won't be able to without a verified account, and you can't verify it being in a restricted country.
