Hey guys, until the last update 2 days ago aurora worked fine for me butr now it's unplayable. Does someone know a new workaround?
The one with the user.ini makes my timebank buggy which makes me kinda paranoid to use it xd

I got it suggested in the live chat today and started using it. The software is running a lot better now. No lags anymore and I dont have issues with making notes anymore.

For some reason I can't install the hyper-theme and a few other old themes after the new update, does anyone know how to fix it? Still able to play without aurora BTW!

Since Stars.es updated today, this adding LegacyPokerTable=1 doesnt really work anymore or emptying the ImgCache, anyone know, why this could be the case?

Some simple table is supposed to be faster.

Worse cards, hard on PC (Windows), worse table, and the waiting for regular tables (like no waitlist at Party). I have long suspected Stars is operated by the FBI; like Ongame to FTP to Stars -- just new owners on paper.

I found it! The problem is it on the user file, every time we update the software it gets updated as well. To solve this we have to have an old user file and open the software without updating it.

How can we get an old user file? I'm finding it grim playing without hyper simple theme, been using it for so long

It doesn't work, I've checked the file line by line and it doesn't add new lines or values.There seems to be no way to disable it this time. My stars soft its pokerstars.es

Maybe someone at least knows a way to change fonts on Mac os? Since there are no ways to turn off the Aurora

Why does the Aurora graphics take like 90% of my processor power when the old one took like 20% (that .eu can still use)? Do they use our computers to run their servers, or maybe mine bitcoins? Why they changed a superior solution that has worked superb for like 20 years into the above with additionally worse graphics?

1) Hyper simple is the GOAT theme

2) For Hu it's the only theme that sits you east vs west instead of south vs north

in your case you must have a weak pc. cos mine is quite old (2013/2014) and with 9 tables open it uses 1.5-4% of cpu with the old ps software (20-35% w aurora).
i get that some dudes have strong pcs and still have problem w the new engine. me never had any lag or any problem just the looks of it sucks and why to stress my pc if not needed?!

i agree w you aurora does suck major d.ck. and yepp i can imagine they use our pc to their advantage in some way.

Aurora with a laptop, i5 2g+ CPU, without going into details that there are many significant ones, need (in my case) an increase of fan speed; if the normal fan speed is 4 to 5k RPM, it won't run Aurora -- CPU goes up to 100%, laptop freezes, temperature goes over 90%, the laptop closes itself.

But when I push the extra fan speed button and the RPM goes to 7.7k, the CPU goes to normal 40% (with a lot of variance) and the temperature stays at optimal 88C, so no problems.

WITHOUT the extra fan speed, GGPoker and Youtube -- alone -- goes to those same numbers. Together, Youtube might add 10%, or it might alone go close to 100% for unknown reasons but still run, but that's another story.

The baseline is 30% in these cases, when all these softwares are closed; if it is lower, so are all the other numbers. The baseline depends on what Windows is doing (and possibly if one has restarted) and if it isn't doing anything, it is 10% or so.

The main thing is the CPU temperature; as long as it doesn't go above the optimal 88C, everything should be running good, whether the CPU speed (or what number one gets there, as it might be fake) is 100% or not (as long as it is the maximum).

Can anyone here confirm aurora is mandatory for everything now? Logged in stars and it doesn't seem to be in full effect yet?


My laptop is few years old... i5-6300hq with 1tb ssd and 32gb ram. When playing on aurora, the lag was unbearable. I think the moment you hit 8 tables is when the lag is very bad to almost unplayable.
