Talking about 100nl/z+

It genuinely feels that

A. GG is banning all the best regs or

B. GG's rake is too high to sustain a decent wr.

Personally I'm -1bb/100 over a medium sample and it seems most of the regs that I talk to and most of the regs on statname have similar stories.

I have no idea about B, but genuinely interested as to why you think A would be in any way relevant to a point you're trying to make?

If GG bans the best regs then the average winrate for a reg is lower,

I am not sure how you work out that if you have a (pre rake) zero sum game, then have players who are extracting money from that zero sum game leave, that the remaining players somehow win less going forward?

Or, to make it simpler - you're a top level 100m sprinter. Good, but not great, can go sub-10 sometimes. In which situation do you think you would be more likely to reach the Olympic final - the current situation, or an alternative universe where the guy running Jamaica turns into Putin 2.0 and all their sprinters are banned as a result?

I believe the idea is that if you reduce the skill gap between players sitting at the table there’s going to be a lot of break evening going on and is a much better scenario to generate rake

Because the people who remain are still dogshit. Removing good players might improve a bad regs winrate from -3bb/100 to -1bb/100 but you still have a ton of bad regs. The good regs are always only the top ~5% anyway so removing wouldn't have a drastic change
