Amaya took one good look at Star's old numbers/figures and got wide eyed at the prospects....from their view this is purchase was probably seen as a short-term gold mine but a long term sinking ship. the outlook for online poker over the next 2-5 years is not so great with less and less new customers and further division of their market as more and more countries are becoming liabilities.
i think they will basically end up pulling a fast one and re-selling it for a quick buck to an ignorant buyer. the sooner the better imo, Amaya has clearly decided what is important to them and obviously regs are not on that list.
