From what I am reading it seems that if you unsubscribed from recieving emails then you were not in the promotion. It clearly states that on the promotion page here,
To get your rakeback you must be subscribed to 888poker emails.

I am sorry guys but you will need to take this up with support if you are not happy about it as there is not a lot more that I can do for you.

888Rep

The only emails I unsubscribed from were the login notification emails. I receive the 24-7 freeroll emails, 80% promotional emails, Football emails etc.

How can support tell me I was not eligible for the 80% rakeback promo last week and claim I do not receive any emails. I do receive multiple emails every week.

It is so frustrating to log into your account and see the promo that 99% of ppl are not receiving. I still have not played a hand on the site since my $1000 wager day.

Hoping this gets fixed or im withdrawing my bankroll and putting it on WSOP where I am currently playing. (at least my status and redeposit bonus + grinder rakeback is getting me 30-40%)

This seems to be the cause of the problem and I know they are working on a different system but that's of no use to you now.
I have sent your issue over a couple of times now so whatever answer you were given is there decision but please email them again asking them to reconsider.

Do as the promotion page asks and send a mail to support asking them to clarify it, best to be on the safe side.

Long time follower, first time poster here. I too have been very unsatisfied by this VERY VAGUE promotion. I completed what I felt was $500 in "wagering" according to what the 888 rep said on this site. I was mostly playing .25/.50 and saved hand histories. Each time I bet a decent sized bet (>$40), I marked it down on paper to be sure. I calculated around $800 or so and then went to bed. I sent email to their support for four straight days and received no response.

Through the chat window yesterday, I was explaining this to a rep and she said I didn't qualify after looking through the hands. Ironically, an hour later I received a response to my email saying I only wagered $292.

That night, I upped my stakes to .5/1 and started playing multiple windows. I went through the hand history text files the next morning and painfully added up all my wagers. I came out to around $1500.

I then called the 800 number this morning and got a rep who seemed very familiar with the promotion. She told me (which others are also saying) that uncalled bets do NOT count towards the totals.

I asked her to go over my history from the day before to verify I qualified. She started going over everything manually, eyeballing hand histories. Once she saw how much I played, she said she would validate offline and call me back.

Calling me back, she said she verified with the promotion department and I had about $1,050 wagered. She said I would get an email on Sunday stating the rakeback amount.

Now here is the part that really threw me. She said that from now on, I would get my rakeback ONLY FOR DAYS that I wager over the $500 amount, not rakeback on every cash game I play. I had her repeat it multiple times so I understood it correctly.

"IF" this is true, this will go down as the most vague "bait and switch" promotion I've ever heard. Definitely, losing my business. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. It's really sad though because I actually think their software and games are the best around. However their promotion department and especially their support is the worst I've ever seen ... not only comparing it to other poker sites, but comparing it to any support of any product I've ever used.

This is the same problem I am experiencing and I assume most others are as well.

The one difference im my case is that I was fully subscribed to ALL emails on Sunday (the day we were supposed to receive the rakeback email).

I unsubscribed from LOGIN emails on monday, and that never even worked bc i continued to receive the emails each time i logged in.

The problem with continuing to deal with support is that they take 36-48 hours to respond and we only have a few days left until our window closes for the week. And, in my experience, they don't even answer my questions directly. They send me a link to the main promotion page that I've seen a million times and I have to start all over.

It's not even debatable that anyone that got screwed by this glitch should 100% get their rakeback payments. Why is support making us jump through hoops to get it?

From what i understand this is incorrect. when i got my rakkeback this Sunday i was for all cash games not just the day i wagered over 500. im about 99% positive

Let me get this straight, the amount wagered within a 24 hour period that qualifies for rakeback is $500 no? Once you hit that qualification between now and Jan. 31, you will continue to receive rakeback from all cash games (and tournaments?) until May. 888rep, please confirm that what I am saying is indeed true.

This x1000. Why is this so hard to resolve the rake back offer your company is offering? I have 24 more hours to wait because when I was discussing with support they said it would take them 3 days to resolve. Well tomorrow is 3 days.

not tournaments

In theory, according to the language of the promotion the rest of what you say is true

I know I'm not 888rep, but that doesn't matter much these days. Seems like he is a nice guy who is trying to be helpful. But his information on this hasn't been lining up with what the site is doing. And in his last post it seemed like he was sort of waving the white flag in terms of clarifying details

Support. You have to include screenshots of the chat, as they don't record it.

So, I didnt get the 80% because the ads about it were wrong regarding uncalled bets and I lost out on a day of freerolls because they weren't clear about the log on emails. Maybe 888 should hire a few people who actually play poker to read their promos to let them know if they actually make sense and say what they intend them to mean. I'd be happy to apply for one of these positions.

To the poster who said the other day that 888 was doing everything they could to both earn and lose your business, you nailed it.

I may be wrong, but since this is all regulated isn't there recourse if the language in the promotions is mis-leading?

Also, was told by one of the online reps that players have had success depositing with prepaid Mastercards onto 888. Anyone try this?

To the first part theoretically yes, but I would assume you would have to allow some period of time to pass so there is no question that they haven't fulfilled whatever "promise".

In general, I think Mastercard works. I can't use my visa anymore (I did on my first deposit though, don't know why) but I am able to deposit with mastercard.

It seems I'm in the same boat as everyone else here.

Got excited for what seemed like a great promotion, played a ton of cash games, and got no rakeback email on Sunday. I check with support and get various answers. First they say I didn't bet enough. Considering I played 6-9 tables of $100 NL for over four hours with multiple called allins so no way this is the case. I pressed support for my actual bet amount and they just kept repeating the refrain that I hadn't bet over $500. They obviously could not be bothered to manually confirm despite multiple very polite requests.

I sent further details including my screen name to the 888 rep on this thread. Hoping to find a better, and timely resolution here.

Is this a true statement? Do the bets have to be called? I'm going to be playing 6-8 hours on Friday. I was going to go for this promo as long as the above mentioned info is correct. Otherwise I will take my biz for the day to another site.

Just stop already!!!!! Asking for user name and acting like u passing it on for any evaluation or help. I was told that days ago and never heard a thing. It just means now we don't even know who answering and no one even responsible for getting back to us. Most frustrating support I've ever dealt with. Ps how does a poker site hire a support staff that knows nothing about poker and I'm sure most have never even played by the conversations I've had w them. I've just learns to expect nothing, not even promised promotions from this site now.
