hahaha sorry to laugh but I brought this up so many times weeks ago and its still messed up.

You must accumulate $500 in bets between 15th January (12:00 AM EST) 31st January (11:59 PM EST) in a calendar day to qualify for the 80% RB.

Good luck in your games!

So I am now being told by chat support that an uncalled wager will not count towards the $500 requirement, which completely contradicts what was posted in this thread.

Does that mean if I bet the flop and someone raises then I reraise and he folds that doesn't count either?

At this stage, I have no idea which is right and which is wrong, but isn't this exactly why their use of the term "wager", which normally, if not universally, applies to casino betting and not to poker, is inappropriate?

I could understand an uncalled bet being used in their calculations if they raked uncalled bets, (please tell me they don't do that), but, in all fairness, it doesn't seem to me to be sensible for them to include it in a rakeback offer if they don't rake uncalled bets.

Just got this email below. I did NOT unsubscribe as I receive regular emails from 888 including 24-7 free roll tickets.

What is going on...

"Thank you for contacting us; my name is Kishona and it is with great pleasure that I address you today.

I have reviewed your account and I noticed that you have unsubscribed from receiving login emails from us at 888.com. In order to be eligible for the promotion, you must be subscribed to receive these emails from us.

As such, I have now subscribed you to receive login emails from here forward. You will be eligible within 24 hours of this for the promotion. In addition, you will only get the bonus for the week you have re subscribed and not from the beginning of the promotion. Joseph, unfortunately, you won’t be eligible for rakeback for last week.

Below, I have provided a link that will explain further to you the requirements to be eligible for the promotion and that explains you must have been subscribed as well:

http://us.888poker.com/promotions/80-percent-rakeback/

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter."

So if I bet $1 and some raised to $2 and I fold the dollar counts for me?

What If someone bets $1 and I call $1. Does that dollar count for me?

http://us.888poker.com/terms/80-percent-rakeback/ states:

"Players who bet $500 or more on cash games on a calendar day (00:01 EST - 23:59 EST) during the Promotion Period will receive 80% Rakeback (“80% Rakeback”) on their play in poker cash games until April 30, 2014 from the date on which they have met the threshold (the “Start Date”), subject to point 5 below."

I can't find their own definition of "bet", but I can see how some would interpret this as including making an uncalled bet, or even calling a bet.

It also states:

"In the event of a conflict between the Bonus Policy and the Terms of Service or this Promotion, the Terms of Service or the Bonus Policy shall prevail. In the event of any conflict between the Terms of Service and the Bonus Policy, the Terms of Service shall prevail."

As mentioned earlier in this thread, the prevailing http://us.888poker.com/banking/bonus-policy/ states:

"Wagering Contributions
All versions of Roulette, Triple Card Poker, and Poker table games: 20%"

If there is a clause in this promotion's terms that officially negates that primary clause, either it's not clear to me, or I didn't see one.

I would have to assume that whatever the 888Rep states to their customers who read this forum, (albeit in good faith and in his understanding), in the event of a conflict the published terms for all of their customers "shall prevail". I would suggest that it is vital for you to read very carefully and understand all of the terms published on the site, and not rely totally on what you read here.

I am really upset with how the rep has come across with what was said. I was going to deposit a big amount to get the deposit bonus but now not so sure. I may just give my action to another site. I was trying to hit it one day and was basing my play on what was stated.

I guess the answer is just try and satisfy the requirements under the strictest of interpretations.

I'm glad I went back out there.

Had a nice hand where broadway was out there. So I got to push my entire $200 stack in on a $10 pot and get called lol. Rake on that hand be damned..

I got screwed out of the 80% by the uncalled bets as well... 888Rep, I've been one of your defenders on here and I believe you've always tried to do right by us... Please address this, even if it's just to say "Sorry, I was wrong."

If anyone simply puts in a decent session at 20NL or higher, you will get the promo no problem. Just put in a session!

define session....12 tables for 8 hours? lol

I don't do the super mass tabling thing, 4 is my usual limit..I just played around 5-6 hours averaging 3 tables of 100 NLHE and 1 table of 50 PLO

I got an email again today trying to explain why I didn't qualify for the 80% Rakeback...I got a phone call from 888 in December about 88% Rakeback from then through Feb so I should be getting that instead of the 80%, which is fine with me...But I haven't seen any money in weeks. I got 1 email that they sent me $56 and nothing since.

i'm hoping they pay monthly and i'm not getting screwed...

Second day in a row of qualifying and not receiving an email for freerolls. Not as big of a deal as the 80% rake back for others, but pretty annoying. I double checked to make sure I didn't miss any fine print when I opted out of email log in notifications. It clearly states that I am ONLY unsubscribing to email log in alerts, but that does not seem to be the case. I have not had an issue getting any promotional emails till now.

Is this some sort of sick joke by 888?? So the support rep tells me I unsubscribed from 888 emails (which is untrue) and due to that I will not get my rakeback from last week. (They still have not told me if I am activated for rakeback even though I wagered close to $1000 early last week.

NOW I get this email in my inbox....

wow, damn

I'm sorry but I laughed. On paper this is such a great promotion. But it might drive a lot of us to cashout and go somewhere else.

I can tell you that I will not play one more hand unless I know I'm getting the 80%

Don't get me wrong but I do think 888 is a good site to play on with the promotions that it advertises but if they do not practice what they preach, then what's the point?

Hi guys,
I read your PM's and posts and I duly forward them all to be investigated and they then contact you with an outcome.
From what I am reading it seems that if you unsubscribed from recieving emails then you were not in the promotion. It clearly states that on the promotion page here,
To get your rakeback you must be subscribed to 888poker emails.

To subscribe to 888poker emails, contact us: supportnj@888.com

http://us.888poker.com/promotions/80-percent-rakeback/
I am sorry guys but you will need to take this up with support if you are not happy about it as there is not a lot more that I can do for you.

I still cant deposit here, which is frustrating enough. I did get that same email, Royal.

I had about 100 bucks on 888 from a 10k freeroll, which I punted off shoving pre until I thought I wagered 500 in a day. Apparently I didnt since uncalled bets now dont count. 100 dollars isnt alot of money but when were told one thing and then meet those requirements, we should be rewarded.

This is a great promo if it was just simply presented better. Its such a shame that just about every NJ site is so incompetent when it comes to running any promos.

Your missing out on 15k in rake a month from me alone by not being able to clearly state terms of this promo. (and obviously not being able to get a god damn deposit to go through)

Why cant every site just make a ****ing VIP system worth getting to the top teir. **** its not this hard people.
