888 Poker ends all rakeback deals? 888 Poker ends all rakeback deals?

So apparently 888 Poker has made a decision to end all the rakeback deals. Somebody can propably post a source since I don't have it (got a message from an affiliate). The site has already a very poor bonus system on top of that the charges for deposits and withdrawals are 6-7% so at least for me, this is very sad news. I think last time when they published their results they had increased both profit and the amount of players.

Thoughts?

Seems like a pretty solid strategy. In no way at all can I see this harming their business.

It definitely will affect their poker business but I don't think it will harm it.

This sort of happened earlier last year, but not fully.

Haven't heard of any updates to this.

OP are you sure this is happening to all or is this just what your affiliate told you? I'm not saying I do not believe you, but a clarification of what you heard exactly would be good. Information in the cases of under the table rakeback isn't always reliable.

I played at one of poker skins on 888, now i am thinking of playing at there again. Can any one confirm if there is still possible deal on 888 or it is just flat 888 VIP? Just want to make sure since i have heard different story.

Thanks and good luck every one!

Hi Mylife0115,

I hope all is good with you. As always, I can see you're on the hunt for the absolute best deals around! All the power to you for that.

As you likely know, 888 no longer give rev share to affiliates. However, unless I'm mistaken I do believe that a number of skins like Poker848 do give rev share to their affiliates, so if you hunt around you will likely find someone who *might* be willing to kick something back to you.

Of course, this is not something we would be prepared to do or support, but I do recognise that there is little point in attempting to deter a man as determined as yourself :-)

I do believe that the ultimate plan is for them to take away this rev share option and to be honest it's doubtful that getting some form of kick back will make a significant difference to your level of return there.

People play at 888 for the user experience and quality of games, not the returns.

Anyway, hope this is of some help. Who knows, your PM inbox might be overflowing by now!

Good luck in 2013 mate.

Hi there,

What does this mean?, they used to give affiliates X% of their players rake, now all of a sudden they just stopped giving anything.

Does this not break the initial terms with the affiliate?

It does not break the terms of agreement and to be honest I don't think there is much wrong with what they did.

Affiliates continue to receive rev share as per their previous deal with 888. However, moving forward the deal is a CPA on any new players. If an affiliate doesn't like this, then they don't need to promote 888.

Yea it's only a poor way to do business if they take away previous referral %s for players without reason (not counting "you were caught giving away rb that isn't allowed" type situations).

Hi! Just to be clear: There are no special deals on 888 anymore? Or does this just refer to some old program being abolished?

I'm planning on opening an account in the next few days, and I'm currently researching deals, because I have never played on 888 before and I have no idea about their policies in this area. It seems to me there's nothing really to be gained by an affiliate (and I don't want to cost the site any money by using an affiliate when it doesn't benefit me in any way). But I also don't want to foolishly make an unaffiliated account now and regret it later...

The last of what you refer to as special deals appears to have been eliminated in the last week.

I could be wrong, just from all the chatters it sure sounds like it's all toast.

Hang on now.....what is a CPA.

So for old players, the affiliate continues to receive their share of rake but the player doesnt. Yeah not surprising this doesnt seem wrong to you?

Hi Special_One,

What you have described above has very little to do with 888.

It's very likely that your affiliate is continuing to receive a share of your rake and has opted not to pay you.

The 888 VIP / Cashback program remains the same and anything extra you were ever paid, must have been paid by your affiliate. The fact that your affiliate has ceased paying you (for whatever reason) cannot be blamed on 888.

The only other option is that their affiliate account has been shut down by 888.

We continue to receive a share of our player's rake and as far as I know a number of other affiliates do also.
