YOUR peak time/day stats? YOUR peak time/day stats?

Mods, if this is in the wrong place, I apologize. I didn't know where else to put it.

I have tracked every session I have played for the last year and a half. I play almost ALL of my live sessions on Fri/Sat/Sun. After very similar hours played on each day (around 160 hours) over the course of my logging, I have noticed a huge difference in these days.

Friday-146 hours / Profit $7276

Saturday- 172 hours / Profit $439

Sunday- 163 hours / Loss $993

This is strictly casino and home games as all of my online is logged during the week.

I know that those hours aren't huge sample sizes, but I feel like there is definitely enough evidence to say that I should focus more on playing Fridays than any other weekend day. Maybe I am looking too much into "running good on fridays".

Do you guys notice patterns in your stats like that?

No single day of the week will be THAT much different than any other single day of the week. Sample size is way way too small to make anything of those numbers.

Friday may well be a much better day than Sunday in your room, but it wont by anywhere near that different after 1000+ hours on each day

Bonus question that I'm not sure if it deserves its own thread...

If you win a high hand bonus, do you include it in your stats when calculating your hourly win rate?

For example, I like to play Sunday mornings when my room offers a high hand bonus of $300 every half hour. If I hit one, I don't think it's fair to include in my win rate.

Those sample sizes way to small to deduce anything statistical significant. 1k hrs for each day of the week to start getting in the ballpark which would take years to compile. In most markets weekends and holidays should be slightly softer due to more recreational players who work a traditional work week are off.

As far as recording bonuses in your winrate. There are a couple reasons to keep track. One of both together as an "observed winrate" to see exactly how much you have won. But for the purposes of estimating your "projected winrate" you will get a more accurate number by using your base winrate + the expected value if each promotion on an hourly basis.

Sample size etc however Friday seems to have the best games overall pretty much always. Tuesday the worst.

Normally I don't, but if you play a lot then it really shouldn't affect your hourly all that much.

I pretty much play in the same room all the time (next nearest casino is 100 miles away), and log 1k-1.2k hrs per year. The rake is 5+2, with the 2 going to the promo fund. 1 for the promo at $10 and the 2nd promo dollar at $20. So you're paying $2 into the promo fund for every time you drag a pot of at least $20. Given there's no BBJ there and most of the promos are $200-$400, I know I pay a lot more into the fund on a yearly basis then I win from high hands or hot seats. So in my case I think I could look at the few promos I hit as rakeback and count it towards my hourly rate, but I just keep track of it on the side. The difference for me would be something like $2-$3hr if I counted promos towards my hourly (last year it was more like $1.40hr). That's not "nothing", but it's not incredibly substantial either.

1) You ... How does your game change over the three days? Do you play 'right' on Fridays and then 'chase/gamble' more on Saturday and Sunday with profit in your pocket? Does 66 look way more attractive on Sunday than Friday?

Lots of folks play much better after a 'break' between sessions .. This could be you!

2) Opponents ... Most folks get paid on Fridays and have cash in their pockets to burn and may feel a little more gambly as well. I think Sunday Players are a bit more serious, but you may also run into someone trying to make up for a bad weekend and 'finally' hit a hand, of course against you in a large pot.

There could also be a fatigue factor in there as well. How long are your sessions and do you play multiple days in a row?

I would separate the casino from home game stats as well. Not knowing the dynamic of your home game(s) could change stats in a hurry. GL

I do not include promotions into my winrate numbers for those that asked above.

Answer20, aside from tilted plays/sessions, I play relatively consistently no matter what day I play. I rarely play fri/sat/sun in a row. It is generally only 1 day per weekend.

I am able to separate my home game from casino.

Friday 82 hours +$2,282
Sat 99 hours -$618
Sun 139 hours +$1,193

Most of my sessions are at least 7 hours on any given day.
