A) this is super douchey- dont make the rest of the table wait so that you MIGHT get lucky, just play the game.

B) by tanking AT ALL with quads, you are slow-rolling which is equally, if not more douchey.

I dont usually get PO'd by posts on here, but if this was occurring at a game I was in I would call the clock after 60 seconds. Then I would petition that you not be eligible for the jackpot because you literally wasted everyone's time.

You were about to win a $400+ pot with the nuts, and you are trying to slow-roll AND waste 8 other players' time (and the dealer)-

Think about this as one of the other players at the table, you would be the ultimate douche bag.

I hope you came to your senses and snap called. AND LOST FOR EVEN CONSIDERING THIS CRAP.

Agree 100%. This whole thread is full of non-sense. Tanking with the nuts is never acceptable. The people that do this are greedy self centered aholes.

Our casino has HH and this would not work.

Once the clock gets near the end of the hour the floor manager will announce what the current High Hand is and tell the dealer to deal the last hand. No matter how long this hand takes it does not move to the next hours HH.

I feel most casinos are doing this now as it was done this way for the last three casinos I played at that had a HH.

Like many things, what people say they do and what they actually do are two different things.

Do you think they were serious when they said that, or just trying to be poker-folksy? if the average interval of the dealer throwing his first pitch is 2 mins then most hands are playing at around 90secs. Over four minutes your denying 8 other people two or three opportunities to $$$ that they should rightfully be able to vie for seeing as they paid in just as much as you have to the BBJP/PSJ and/or rake.

Again, this is why I prefer non PSJ games...I used to play $20/40 7-stud at Commerce with dropped main rake only...but that now seems like a lifetime ago.
