Seventeen, all at low-limit stud at Canterbury Park in 2000. I did once stay longer than I had planned so I could book a $.50 win.

In 2004, I had 9 straight winning sessions playing 6-12 at CP. Over that time, I ran at ~$45 / hr.

Then I broke even for 2005.

So yes, it really doesn't matter.

Personal best 11 consecutive winning sessions. Personal worst: 5 losing sessions. Losing 5 sessions in a row live makes you reevaluate poker and life in general. Its like wow, wtf.

For those people who have 20+ winning sessions - did you start taking shots higher? If I ever won more than 10, I would play higher until I lost. I don't think I could ever win 20+ times in a row.

Personal best is around 10 I think.

For me...I always bounce around limits anyway. If I'm winning or losing, I bounce around either way (I'm not the smartest guy).

Best Wishes

Does getting completely felted for a full buy-in 12 times in a row count for some type of record?

I'm no longer stacking off 400 BB deep with TPTK. :-)

I bluff folded on the river once, was really mad when he got the pot tho. IMO its a bigger rush than bluff betting

I don't think this is a good barometer for what you want to be measuring. Its like asking how many pots did you win in a session. Or how many pots in a row. If you give this importance, you start losing sight of why you are there to begin with - which is to win $.

Also, once you start measuring something, you start affecting the outcome. Subconsciously, when you are up slightly, you may be changing your betting patterns in order to reduce variance so you can have a "winning session" and this may cause you to miss out on a lot of +EV long shots. Or if you are losing, this can facilitate tilting because you know you have a limited amount of time to make up the lost ground. Or even worse, you may play when you are so tired or tilted that you are seriously impaired.

This is what I measure:

1) % of times I have winning sessions (varies from 60% to 70% yearly)
2) Average win in a winning session
3) Average loss in a losing session (which is about 50% of my average winning session)
4) BB/hr each year weighted for the different games I play

When I looked at my records I found I had 5 winning session in a row a few times. Because I had no interest in my "streak" I believe that this is the natural outcome of winning about 2/3 of my sessions (1 in 15 times I play 5 sessions this should happen).

I had one streak of 4 losing sessions in a row. By the 4th one I knew I was playing like sh*t because I was losing more than I usually did in my losing sessions and statistically I knew the likelihood of that happening was so low (1 in 241 times I play 4 sessions). By evaluating my play carefully, I saw how much I could save by going back to basic starting hand requirements, etc. and got myself righted.

But until I saw this thread I couldn't have told you what my longest winning or losing streaks were. And thats going to be true for me going forward as well.

30 in a row at live 2-5NL. it was the craziest month ever cos i was running super hot online also. i won 3 $26 MTT's and the turbo hundo @ FT in those 30 days. also won a bunch of SNGs in the $50-$1k range. i haven't been able to duplicate those results ever again but that month set me good for life (in combination w/ my current job). i didn't get rich but i bought the house i live in w/ that money.
