Where in Vegas do professional poker players frequent higher-stakes cash games? Where in Vegas do professional poker players frequent higher-stakes cash games?

Hi guys. I'm in Las Vegas for a few days and I'm curious of where the full time players typically play cash games. I was at the Aria earlier today and the biggest game was 200nl which was surprising. I thought they would have much bigger games. Anyone know where poker pros typically grind live?

Download the Bravo app on your phone, all the major rooms are on it. Not sure what you mean by 200nl - the smallest game they have is $300 max buyin. You must have been there early in the day. Right now I see 2 5-10 and 2 2-5 PLO games running. The big mix games seem to be at Bellagio.

You'll see full time players sprinkled around all rooms. How many of those qualify as pro depends on your definition.

Do you mean pros as in good players who make a lot of money or pros as in people you recognize from TV?

Because while there's overlap, those two groups are not the same at all.

You mean you didn't get on the list for the 200/400 game they ran last night? Just a meager $50K buy in. They are spreading the same game tonight.

The Bravo Ap will help you a ton. I think Bellagio and Aria should be a good spot to find a bigger game. I was told that Venetian was 'pro' heavy and I would tend to agree, but I was there during the WSOP in July. Their lists were shorter so I just went there first since I was staying at TI.

WPT just finished up a huge $10K BI tournament at Bellagio as well.

You comment is a bit strange since I thought Aria spread 1/3, not 1/2, as it's lowest stake game. Not sure if you want to 'see' pros, play against them or just find a big game .. regardless have fun and know that we all (most) want to be there with you!! GL

Many of the Vegas pros are just nitty 2-5 players. Biggest game at Venetian is almost always 2-5 and they often don’t have many 2-5 games anymore. Aria actually would have a significant percentage of the pros that are playing in Vegas.

You'd be lucky to find anything above 2/5 anywhere outside Aria and Bellagio, except for weekend nights.

So Wynn is also dead for 5/10 nowadays? I recall even playing 5/10 in Caesar's Palace couple years ago...

You can probably find a table or two with a 5-10 game at Wynn.

I’m sure that 5-10 game at Caesars was a fluke.

When I was in vegas the big bet mix was always running when I checked bravo. Check Bobby's Room or Aria.

With the run that JRB has going on PokerGo I think he will be in grind mode for a while! GL

as sick and wrong as it is there are people who claim to be pros that play 1-3, you are better off asking where to play certain stakes and not worry about who thinks they are "pro" players

You mean anyone can just get on the list for that game and play?

P.S. Hint. That game is de facto private and if you're not a fish you will not get to play.

Very little overlap. The groups are pretty much mutually exclusive. Generally, the TV pros, especially the old guard like Eli Elezra couldn't beat live $5/$10 which is why they don't even play NL anymore unless it's an absolute fish lineup.

Just take your $20K or whatever down to the uncapped 1/2 game at the Nugget, and go all-in anytime you hit 2-pair or better. You will print money, believe me.
