Where in the cash game live are more soft? Las Vegas, Europe, or Asia? Where in the cash game live are more soft? Las Vegas, Europe, or Asia?

I'm thinking of traveling and I wanted to know where it is easiest to play (I do not have a set itinerary for the trip and I could go on any of the three continents). What are the best casinos to play 1/2, 2/5 and 5/10?

No one who knows the answer to this question will tell you, especially not on an open forum.
Short answer is DYOR and have fun finding out by going to anywhere you can think of.

I always offer 'this' when this question comes up ... Plan your trip around what type of trip you want to go on first and then bring poker into the equation.

What happens if you bust? You want to be somewhere you have 'other' options to kill time with when you're not playing. How mobile will you be? Renting a car or shuttling around?

5/10 can be hard to find and limits your choices IMO .. Do you play PLO? In the US you have Vegas, LA, various Florida locations, Baltimore and maybe Philly that will have 'daily' 5/10 NL Just about all major cities have 2/5 going.

Good luck finding a decent sample size on this site that has played in all three 'environments' in order to get good advice.

From my personal experience, Vegas is the 'best' simply because you have so many room choices in a small area. Even though Vegas has it's fair share of pros/regs it probably also has the most turnover of players ... which in my opinion is the most important choice I look at for table selection. I 'always' do my best where no one knows my game. I don't really think your going to find that at the 5/10 level as much as 1/2 or 2/5 but the statement holds water IMO. GL

I heard Asia but you have to play bigger than 5/10.

Melbourne and Sydney in Australia have great games that spread all stakes you mentioned for PLO and NHL. Rake is high for 1/3 though (10% up to 15) so I'd probably be prepared to play 2/5 5/5 and 5/10 if I were going as a means to make income.

Oh also, it's Australia so it's probably one of the greatest spots in the world to travel.

Why should I play cash game over 5/10? Games bigger than 5/10 are not harder to find?

Why do you think that 'a lot' of Pros are playing in Asia now? Businessmen with cash to burn and an impulse to gamble ... and the thrill comes from playing big, not small. You asked for 'easiest' (softest), now go find the games via research. (Macau) GL

Games in Europe are softer than in the US, but the rake is significantly higher in most places.

Except for a few chosen ones who crush, Asia might be the only region where players still can make serious money in regulated casino games. Both in Europe and the US, most of the 'easier' money today is in private games and being able to get into those is way more profitable than small edges in skill.

Don't know about Europe or Asia, but it seems like decent bets are Vegas casinos for 1/2; then travel 4 hours to Commerce casino in LA for plenty of 5/5 and 5/10 NL table selection. Check out the Bravo app for games going for both locations. 1/2 in LA casinos is not as good as in Vegas because it's restricted to super short starting stacks designed for 1/2 rec players to be able to play very cheaply. When are you traveling?

I enjoy driving around the good old USA
a little time on the web will find poker rooms
yes some have quirky rules IE $100 buy-in or $100 max bet per street
but so what
like others said you get to see the country !
I bring a fishing rod with me and don't mind buying a 3 day lic in most states.
get out and enjoy what America has to offer.
some places you move on after a day, others you find a juicy game in a little 4 table room and end up staying 2 weeks. Its all part of the adventure

In Europe, nlh200 (or 300) runs at about anywhere and the rake is generally 5% to 10 euro cap; being like nlh50 online then but softer -- but very slow (and probably with a 10 euro entrance fee), as one is 1-tabling in a slow full ring game.

NLH 400 or 500 might also run but playing higher than that, the odds are pretty good it is PLO and the rake cap is at least a double.

And the rake of the games in Asia (except macau) is very high too? What are the best casinos to play?

The higher you play, the less rake matters and the more the opponents matter.

I highly doubt anyone who played at 3+ casinos in Europe and 3+ casinos in LV would say that games in LV are softer.

“More profitable” is a totally different question because most casinos in Europe have ridiculously high rake. At the ones that don’t, competition is way more fierce.

I have and I definitely would tbh. Games are nittier but softer. There are more grinders but there's also a lot more choice of games than anywhere else and the regs often cause much less trouble for good players than their European counterparts.
