What's the rarest thing you've ever seen at a live poker table? What's the rarest thing you've ever seen at a live poker table?

2 players get it in preflop in a tournament. AA and KK are tabled, board runs out 34567 for a chop. Very next hand 2 people get it in preflop. They both have AA.

Story 2. Dealer flips over the jack of clubs for the river before action I complete. Puts it back in the stub, washes the cards, does a full shuffle and puts the jack of clubs up for the river.

If I had played it, it would have meant that back to back straight flushes were dealt, both with the exact same hold cards - the 9-10 of spades. After the hand was dealt, I tried telling everyone that I folded the straight flush, but they were quite underwhelmed (or thought I was lying). I wonder how astronomical the odds are against that happening.

Anyone have anything they think is more rare?
I have only had this happen to me once and I 've never seen it before, after, or known anyone else who has seen it. I've had double quads in a PLO game live. Dealt AA66. Flop A6Q....Turn 6....River A

I don't know the odds but that is truly the rarest of the rare poker hands

I saw a guy today win an allin pot with the nut low.

Player A shorty is all in pre with 5 callers. No additional action before the river where it checks to player B who bets into the dry side pot and gets 4 folds. Player A throws his cards forward but not in the muck. Everyone says wait you're still in for the main. Player B says "that was mucked". Dealer says no it wasn't and player A controls his cards. Board is like AK872. Player A shows 43 for the nut low. Everyone tells player A he's still contending for the main. Player A mucks and thankfully rebuys.

1) player at my table is dealt the second card exposed, dealer takes the card back, card happens to be Ax, player is visibly upset till his replacement card is dealt to him, aipf against QQ said player tables AA .. Three aces dealt to the same player in a holdem game at the same hand lol..

2) new table drawing high card for the button, first player announces "Ace" and proceed to actually draw a Red ace, second player announces "Ace of Spades" BEFORE actually finding one and drawing it to our amazement... The third hand after the table started we hit a $19,800 Jackpot... (AJ>QQ on a AA9JA board), Bicycle casino $3-$500nl)

End of a hand player curses "I folded a Royal Flush! (runner, runner). Very next hand, dealer brings in a new deck and spreads it out to show it is complete. Player that would have had the Royal points to the T-A of spades and gives it a little hex/voodoo motion. Hand is dealt--the guy flops the spade Royal!

this was at the IP about 4 years ago. guy got an $1100 bonus.

My trip routine is to stay at Excalibur and play at MGM. Rooms are cheaper and i get 5 minutes of fresh air four times a day.

One Sunday morning i decide to buy-in for $200 in a 1-2 game at Excalibur and within 45 minutes limp in with pocket 5's. Flop 10-5-2 rainbow. I lead out, short stack pushes, i call, he shows pocket 10's, i lose.

The very next hand i limp with pocket 3's, four to the flop of K-4-3. Again i bet, i get pushed all-in and villain turns over pocket 4's, i lose.

River Rock, Richmond.

Sit down, fold for 30 mins, dealt 99, flop set over set, all in, turn quads.

Little bit later, dealt AA. Flop KK blank, turn blank, river A. Opponent has KK, I win 26k for BBJ.

After BBJ break (checking footage, deck, etc) I pick up AA again. Flop is AA blank for quads again.

Couple hands later, previous opponent who had KK in the BBJ hand has KK again and turns quads again against another opponent.

Total time in casino, less than 2 hours. Haven't played live since other than Lightning Poker in Victoria once in a while...

Do I win the thread?

I was playing in a home game once a few years ago and three people got all in after the following flop:

FLOP: J T 5

P1: 5 5

P2: T T

P3: K Q

One of the guys kept pressing to run it more than once. Splitting was going to be easy because it was pretty early in the night and everyone had about the same amount. They finally agreed on three times.

FIRST T&R: T 7 gave P2 quad tens

SECOND T&R: 9 A gave P3 a royal flush

THIRD T&R: 5 6 gave P1 quad fives

I even snapped a pic on my phone:

After 10+ years of poker, I achieved an elusive goal- the seven card straight flush.

In an Omaha 8 or better game, I've got A257 in the small blind and call. I was thinking 'I've got too many spades so I don't like my high potential'.

The flop is: 643

I scooped.

It's got to be easier to do this in Omaha than hold 'em or stud. But, I've never even seen it in any game.

I've seen runner-runner hit 2X consecutively in a large pot that was ran twice.

I've seen a guy play NL 1/2 at Bally's for 20+ consecutive hours, build his stack to $1600, and donk off all of it but $25 off in 20 minutes. He then bounced a chip rack with 10 $1s and 2 $5s in it off an older gentleman's forehead, and got the beejeezus kicked out of him by security when he tried to resist being escorted out (sans $20 in chips, apparently).

I've seen all-in hand with 2 players where player 1 was ahead pre-flop, player 2 caught up on the flop, player 1 took the lead on the turn, and player 2 hit a 2 outer to win on the river....except the wrong deck was used to deal the board (this was a home game where we had the standard 2 deck thing going on with shuffle-ahead & cut behind). So we took the other board and ran it out. Same damn thing. Player 1 pf, player 2 on the flop, player 1 pulls ahead big on the turn, and player 2 hits his 2 outer again on the river.

I saw a Mets fan at Foxwoods once. Boy, that was weird.

I got dealt KK, KK, and AA in three hands a long time ago playing LHE in the old room at Winstar. I fired all the way and all three times lost to rivered one card straights. Probably not that rare, but somewhat notable for me. It was Super Bowl Sunday and I ended up winning a $250 splash pot later with a flopped two pair that managed to hold up. I had to gloat about the best hand winning for once.

I have seen this in a holdem game. It was about 6 years ago in a bowling alley in washington state in a 3-6 game, A-7 straight flush. I freaked out and started exclaiming and pointing, no one else seemed to think that much of it. I wish it had happened while I was playing pai gow.

I got AA v KK once, flopped an ace and lost to running KK, but this was in an online hand so I guess it doesn't count.

Playing 1/2 50bb on a cruise ship, I've got AK in the BB. Can't remember preflop action exactly but I think he limps, I raise, he reraises and I call. Anyway, before the flop is dealt he shoves blind. Flop comes KT4. I snap call and he turns over AJ. Nothing I could do but smile.

Once in a home game, I had Q 10.

The board was Jack K 9 K 8

By the time the river card came down, I had less than a pot sized bet in front of me and one opponent.

I shoved, and after thinking for a while he announced: "I think you're bluffing." And then calls, showing pocket 4s of all things!!

I have no clue as to what he was on, but I sure do wish that players would call me down like this more often.

Perhaps though the best, and rarest, thing I've ever seen in a poker room was the time I ordered a steak at Harrah's. I like them really bloody rare - black & blue (Pittsburgh blue, I've heard it called) and this one certainly was that! Nice to find a place that doesn't overcook a steak.

Some really good ones ITT.

Here is a strange one I recently experienced at a 2/2 NL.

9 players.

Seat 3 is dealt AA, ends up winning on showdown.
Very next hand..
Seat 2 is dealt AA, busts out.
Very next hand..
Seat 1 is dealt AA, takes it down. Everyone says it must be Seat 9's turn for pocket rockets. (lol)
Very next hand..
Seat 9 is dealt AA, wins and shows. Table laughs hysterically. Now it's getting weird.
Very next hand..
Dealer deals first round of cards, mistakenly misdeals to seat 8. Exposed card is A. Seat 8 laughs aloud. Redeal is called. Seat 8 shows Ax.

Never in my life have I seen anything more amusing in a card game.

Another one:
Local poker room holds an hourly high hand with a $100 bonus. 45 minutes into the hour, high hand is announced as 7 high straight flush. Not 10 minutes later, an 8 high straight flush is called. O_O

At the Taj once there was a royal on the board a couple of tables away from me.

Runner up: Probably sitting down in a $4/8 LHE game, taking a hand just because another gentleman wanted to change seats, and seeing a SF over SF bad beat jackpot on the first hand. Pretty lame, but i won $705 to console me for my lameness. That's still the only time i've seen a BBJ at my table.

You do know they design bullets specifically for card protectors. They are hand crafted and have the primers removed. Just sayin, that's a bit extreme.
