What vegas tourney routinely has the biggest tournout??? What vegas tourney routinely has the biggest tournout???

I am taking a trip to Vegas in the future and I wanted to know what No Limit tournament routinely has the highest tournout in terms of players? I play primarily in Atlantic City and there it is easily the Friday $300+$30 at the Borgata. There it was routinely 200+ people sometimes over 300. Lately it has been a little bit smaller. Are there any similar tournaments in terms of attendance in Vegas? I like going to the big tournouts. Does the tournout vary sometimes according to the buy-in? Buy-in is irrelevant for purposes of this thread but if people want to divest and talk about buy-ins to better explain their answer then that is much appreciated.

Sahara night tournies often get 120+ players, at $66 it's at least a decent prize pool for the buy-in , but the room is pretty nasty & the staff doesn't seem all that thrilled to be there

The Venetian & Caesars would be your best bets for larger fields (and both are nice rooms). Both have noon tournies w/ buy-ins aprox $150, Venetian usually has at least 12 full tables and Caesars about the same, although Caesars has more tables for tournies so they could concievably handle around 300 players. In the current economic state I'd expect to find the largest tournies w/ 150 players give or take a few.

The Orleans 7 pm. Double check the schedule, but they get 150-200 ppl. Not sure if the buy ins have changed...memory tells me $80 or $100?

How long ago did you play this? I played in it a couple months ago and they had about 80 players. They have that "player of the year" promo running which seems to have gutted the player pool somewhat since the non-regulars are shelling out $10 for something they'll never see
Orleans tournies are decent though, just wish they'd scrap the promo for the coming year.

LOL on the WSOP, guess I forgot about that one

I'd second Caesar's, and Venetian, at least their noon games. Caesar's regularly gets 120-150 players, and sometimes more. (I played their noon tourney during the WSOP with over 600 players! They have some serious space there) The Venetian also regularly gets 120+ players. Both are well run rooms and very well structured tournaments. If you happen to be going this month (I know, only another week or so left), they both have deep stack tournaments going on that are attracting extra players.

The Orleans isn't bad - between 80 and 120 players in my experience, and it is only $80 weeknights and $100 ($110?) on weekends. The POTY complaints are valid though - that's 12.5% pulled from the award pool ON TOP of what the house normally takes. Still playable, but I also wish they'd drop this.

Especially considering the amount they take in from the promotional/jackpot drop. Maybe it wouldn't be right to supplement the tournament promos with the cash jackpot money, but it would have been nice to take a smaller % out of the tournaments or better yet, none at all.

All in all the Orleans is fun low limit room. It's run well and there's always alot of drunks on the weekends splashing pots and yelling at each other.

I like the Venetian better than Caesars but they both usually have better structures than the other casinos. Some will start you out with a decent size stack relative to the buy-in, but they usually have 20-minute rounds or a structure that doubles every level.

The Venetian and Caesars tourneys have a better pace and don't turn into a a turbo shove-fest after a few hours.

Of course, if you want to play a turbo shove fest with a few hundred people, these are not the tourneys for you.

The Venetian ones aren't always big. I played in on with under 50 people. Came in 7th and didn't cash.
