Hi all! I play cash poker in a German casino. The minimum starting stack with which you can sit down to play is 50bb. I sit down with 50bb and get up when my stack reaches at least 70bb. Thus, I fix my profit. According to the rules, after I get up and want to sit down again, I must take with me to the table the amount with which I got up. But the rules do not indicate how much time should pass after the moment I stood up. The manager of the establishment said that I should sit down with the stack that I had before. But the rules do not clearly state how long I must be absent, to which the manager of the establishment told me that these rules apply to 1 day. This is not written in the rules. Can I challenge his decision and is it worth doing or will I agree with what he says?

It says "nach der Spielpause muss der Spieler wieder mit dem ursprünglichen Stack einsteigen" but Spielpause is defined as leaving the table for 30 minutes or less. What happens after leaving the table for longer than 30 minutes and therefore racking up, isn't addressed at all.

As always you can try to talk to management but in the end of the day it's a house rule. I don't know of any federal regulation addressing situations like that the casino has to adhere to.

Generally speaking, what you're trying to do is considered ratholing and not very popular among other players.

Thanks for the helpful answer. The problem for me is that I'm not good enough at playing deep stacks yet, my bankroll doesn't allow me to do that. That's why I'm trying to build up a bankroll this way. Now in my city there is only 1 game table and I am forced to do this. I would not like to spoil relations with the casino administration. Perhaps I should agree with what they say?

I don't see that you have much choice but to go along with it.
