Literally everything you commented on was addressed in the post you were commenting on. You should try to read it and actually understand it.

Actually my recollection, confirmed by a cursory search, is you named two rooms (Commerce and Bike) which had the magic muck type rule 40 years ago. You also claimed your current (primary) room has such a rule but you never named that room.

If you actually provided the name of a NV or CA room which currently has such a rule, my apologies. I would ask that you please post a link to the post.

If there isn’t or you can’t locate that post to link, it would be even easier to simply post the name(s) again here.

But it isn’t that such room or rooms exist in CA, maybe NV or elsewhere. I think nearly everyone knows or will concede some such rooms exist. But you claimed they not only exist in CA, but that they are still common in CA today. Can you substantiate rooms with a magic muck type room are common in CA today?

IMO Steam did read and understand the original post. Maybe the delivery was a little harsh but what did Steam get wrong

1. Rather than declaring his hand, if seat 8 REALLY wanted to speed the game along, tabling his hand or simply discarding his 5 high or maybe saying ‘you’re good’ would be faster.

2. Steam even specified your reason, mis-hearing the declaration, for discarding as one reason to not discard to verbal declaration

I am not certain what was the intent of your original post. Was it intended to show. Was it to show magic muck was bad/good?was it to show it is faster or slower?

I believe the root of Steam point is simply to show on multiple levels why your example is itself a poor example and thus not good support for any position.
