FWIW, the floors got tipped in my room (sometimes big) and I never saw it effect a single ruling or get anyone moved up. That’s not to say it’s not happening, but it all comes down to bad room culture.

I'd say 'Can I buy a vowel' but there's lots of vowels on both sides of Bellagio!!

I'm probably going to be in this room next Wed/Thur so I can see what I see, but I'll be playing during the day mostly so it may not be as busy. GL

If you are only there for 2 days it'll probably not affect you, more of a topic for the regulars there ... but anyway, look forward to your observations.

PS:
A wise man once said the optimal ratio between vowels and consonants is 3 to 1 ...

First let me say that the comments on behavior that will follow do NOT apply to your most recent post ITT. That one was a major improvement.

IMO you have not been harassed at all here. You came in with an attitude and progressed to being an @hole. Subsequently your behavior was pointed out in a manner much like you acted.

As prior mentions your initial attitude and responses were answered in kind but also likely are at the root your issues with floors. Act more like your most recent posts and I suspect your relationships in THE room will improve. You might still need to tip if that is the norm to get the treatment you want. Unfortunately when in Rome…

i read the first couple if lines and said Bellagio although I don't think much plo runs there.

That grimy place used to be even worse.

If your high tier player card gets you to move up the list or preferential movement in a must move game, there's nothing wrong with a $20 tip doing the same thing. At least if your employer is OK with it and the procedure doesn't violate any gaming regulations.
Not close to the same thing. The tier status thing is a benefit given to you by the casino as policy. The bribe is the floor going behind his employers back, ****ing over customers to pad his own pocket.

I could even tolerate the line cutting but the rulings as Bellagio used to be a total joke if you weren't a tipping reg there.

It’s not like the casino / poker room management doesn’t know customers get preferential treatment by tipping the floor. They are OK with that because that way they can get away with paying them crappy. Otherwise rooms would prohibit their floors from taking tips.

For the same reason we allow bartenders to give out free shots to customers who tip well at our bar. If that 50 cent shot of top shelf liquor results in an extra 5 bucks for the barkeeper, everybody is happy.

I agree on that one. Maybe that system served everybody well for some time but at some point people started to abuse it in a way where problems significantly outweighed benefits for the room. If that point is reached, management has to step in immediately. That clearly wasn’t the case at Bellagio.

Don't know a lot about the Bellagio, but sounds like that other place has taken over that role in terms of corrupt floors ...

bellagio changed out their staff but was worse than this casino prior to that. COMMERCE HIGH LIMIT USED TO BE THE ABSOLUTE WORST. I don't think I've ever been lied to my face so boldly as commerce in like 2015ish time period. I don't fully understand why we're naming the other casinos and not the one this thread is about.

I didn't because OP stated that he didn't want to name it to get unbiased opinions.

those dirtbags in their 30 year old tuxedos made the Bellagio floor look super honest.

I played 3 sessions at the 'PLO' poker room and saw at least three cases of Players walking up to a Floor and getting special treatment outside the list. I didn't see any tipping, but Player and Floor were on first name basis. I also found it interesting that Regs were genuinely surprised that a Player would be given 10 minutes to claim an open seat if they weren't standing there hawking the podium when their name was called.

I realize most room aren't as busy as others .. and if a Player is in the pit 'that's a good thing' for the casino. But for another Player to 'agree' with the screw you attitude of how the lists are handled was a shock .. you'd think they would appreciate the extra latitude. But I guess when you're at a table you just want the seat filled, whereas if you're on the list you want the extra time if you aren't standing there. One Player said they were passed over 3 times for a seat. GL

One comment about people being passed over on lists - if you're above a certain tier on your player card some rooms will automatically bump you to the top. And if you're a high limit room player who decides to slum it in a smaller game you are usually allowed to do whatever you want. So it might not be a tipping thing but rather a room policy.
