heading out to vegas in a month. Normally play the 2/5 (500 max) at bellagio. anyone ever play the 1/3 at wynn (also 500 max).

how do the games compare?

There is more action at the Bellagio, But i Would do the Wynn. Bad players And more bb’s=$$$

at night Bellagio is better game with more "shot takers" at 2-5 with low cap

Avg stack sizes generally is a better indicator of how big a game plays than blinds. So the Wynn 1/3 and Bellagio 2/5 are fairly similar though it's a 100 vs 200 min BI.

For morning Bellagio is 1000x better...Wynn actually has old man coffee regs that come in every morning.

In 13 years of so of going to vegas annually since the wynn existed, day session at the wynn/encore = disaster. Like Bellagio in the morning/day/early evening & then Wynn later in the evening at night. The OMC's at the Encore room are in full effect.

My sample size is pretty small, but the last couple of times I went to the Bellagio poker room in the morning on a weekday, they didn’t even have a 2/5 game running. Couple tables 1/3, one table 5/10, but no 2/5.

Out of curiosity, I just checked Bravo and at 9:50 PT, there are two tables of 1/3 but no 2/5.

You might have been just a touch early. There seems to be a sweet spot between 10-1100 where folks have checked out but don't need/want to head to the airport yet. Or perhaps they are just waking up and want some quick 'recovery' cash from last night's drunken spews. Or the wife is at the SPA and they will be meeting for lunch soon. Very possible I've been lucky, but I've always walked in just at the nick of time to start that game. GL
