here is my list in order of the 10 most annoying tv players

10 erick lindgren = for all the hype i never see much to be impressed about which annoys me.

9 mike matasow = for his treatment of raymer at the 2004 wsop main event , i was estatic when raymer owned him.

8 phil laak = for the basis he cant cash at the main event when hes meant to be one of the best in the world

7 through 1 Jamie gold = worst world champion of all time. won the main event with poor sportsmanship and too much luck, he had no skill, as was found out on hsp when everyone took turns a piece at owning his ass , with sam farha getting first prize.

horrible guy had to be dragged through the courts so he would pay the lawyer who helped him get his buy in for the main event in 06. via bodog

and his mum outlasted him in 07, and i dont think hes made it past day one of the main event since,

No apology necessary. I told my girlfriend someone ranked me third most annoying poker player and she said I should have been first. Apparently, I'm just better than others at keeping my annoying behavior at home instead of putting it on display on national television.

Jennifer Tilly again is kinda fun to have around cause she is so dumb. I like her.

These above four statements are just incredibly silly:
Hellmuth is NOT a decent guy, he's a complete pr*ck to anyone that's an unknown that just so happens to outplay him. He often fails to price people out of pots and then screams expletives when they happen to draw out on him when he's giving them the right price. He rarely acknowledges when he's outplayed and seems compltely oblivious that's he's a fish in big cash games.
Sure it's fun to watch his meltdowns & tirades but his whole attitude toward the game & his fellow players (especially unknown tourney players) has become embarassing and pathetic. Pretty damn annoying if you ask me, and deserves the top spot on this list.

Matasow used to be pretty fun to watch and had a lot of mix in his game, but lately has really nitted-up and seems just like a whining weak-tight player, his table talk has also gotten old & stale~definately should be on the list considering how he's been the last couple years.

How in the hell is Antonius boring? He's a very creative player and will play anyone for any stakes. He takes bad beats as well as anyone and has no fear at the table. I guess OP wants to laugh alot during his TV viewing time rather than watch one of the best in the game.

Doyle annoying???? This along w/ the BarryG debacle is the biggest aberration on the list. Maybe the OP just started watching televised poker and hasn't witnessed all the gems that Doyle has brought to the table. Just watching Doyle & Chip Reese in the inaugural 50k Horse is enough to make anyone a Brunson fan. I still think this thread was a level, but we're all playing along for his enjoyment I guess

the guy is a icon, who in his elder years is still a better player then 97 percent of players on the planet.

A couple of years ago I saw (on TV) Doyle pick off a bluff by a young but experienced European player. Afterwards, the player muttered, "How could you make that call?" Doyle responded, "How could I make that call? How could you make that bet?" Someone here will remember this episode. Then there's that recent PAD cash game where Doyle stuck Durrr for 100K+. So yeah, Doyle still has game.

some people judge doyle by his lack of performance at the main event, but people must remember that there is many a good player who does not cash at the main event ever (phil laak) ,

hell theres a certain former main event champion who cashed this year who had not cashed for years at the main event.

And brunson taking durr for 100 k was sweet. so yep doyle still has game and to call him annoying is ridiculous

Tournament results are hardly a useful tool for measuring skill in a cash game. So we should all consider Viffer a donkey because of his lack of tournament results ?

no we should not and that was my point, does viffer even play many tournaments anyway.

Viffer is an ass, who thinks he can play with the pros. And that thing he does with his mouth bugs the hell out of me.

I would take Barry off the list and replace him with that blowhard Tony G in first place. Viffer is a bit annoying with the blue hair and all, but watching him put Helmuth on tilt on Poker After Dark earns him a pass in my book.
