I was being sarcastic. If the dealer is someone who is going to take food off of my plate, I will return the favor.
It's the same as borrowing money from your employees. You'd be "****ting where you eat".
If you went to a hand car wash (let's say hypothetically that tips are accepted) and you sold watches for a living. The same employee that washed your car is giving out coupons doing cross-promotion with another watch shop (who happens to be a direct competitor of yours) for commission based on the sale of watches, are you going to tip him? Are you even going to give him your business?.
I can't think of an example as pure as the one in question itself: Poker, the purest form of capitalism in the world.
You're a commercial landlord with small tenants selling anything from clothes, sporting goods, perfumes, accessories, etc. It is a small mall. They pay you monthly rent. The more business they make, the less likely they are to vacate the rent space, the more chances you have to increase rent at the year's end.
Are you going to use that money to open up a ****ing Wal-Mart right across the street?
Same concept. Except in Poker it is easier to turn over new players than it is to turn over new tenants.
