yeah i've heard several people say on HSP that they aren't even playing their own money so they play a little more conservative.

the nittiness in HSP's 500k BI show is pretty much proof that they're playing with their own bankroll. Hmmm, the stakes go up and then all of a sudden people are running it three times every other hand, I wonder why? Not because it makes better TV, that's for sure. And do you really think Guy would've given DB six-figures worth of charity if the money didn't matter?

Now I'm sure that TV players have sold off their action to some extent, but that's true of all high-stakes play. It's still real money, though, and it's not like being staked means players don't give a **** how they do.

I thought I remember someone saying (maybe jokingly?) to Sammy something like "it's not even your own money" or something like that on HSP.
