I'm in the market for either a tablet or small laptop to use during the summer in Vegas. Ideally I'm looking for something that isn't too bulky and have decent battery life so I can play online bracelet events while at the poker table. What have you had success with? Was thinking about a Surface Pro or IPad but wasn't sure if there were compact laptops that made sense as well.
Im kinda oldschool, so I prefer a laptop for everyday use. From a poker table logistics standpoint though I'd have to think that a tablet is far superior to a laptop. Do you really want to deal with a laptop and it's obstructive flip up screen while you're grinding long tournaments?
I don't know how it compares to any tablets out there in the last two years or so, but I have an nVidia Shield and I've enjoyed the crap out of it. It can also handle games at a relatively high framerate although battery life isn't the best around when doing so.
