Hi im not sure about this for a long time and thought i ask here.

When swapping do you deduct the buyin from winnings?

Lets say i cash for 10k in a 1k mtt and swapped with somebody 20%. Does the person i swapped with get 2k or 1,8k?

And what is standard if you didnt work out any details except of swapping %?

$2,000. It's like he paid 20% of your buy-in and he gets 20% of the payout. (And like you paid 20% of his buy-in and get 20% of his payout).

I've never seen anyone deduct the buy-in from the payout before calculating the 20% before.

OP also asked in the MTT Community forum, which is probably the better place to ask, so I'm locking this. OP, please don't ask the same question in multiple forums, if there is a more appropriate forum than the one you chose then a mod will move it there. Also, please do a search in that forum, the topic has been addressed there multiple times.
