Is stud dead? Are there any lower limit stud games left here?

Not sure what has been running as I am not in L.V. these days but here are some rooms that spread stud. Again, not sure if the games are running.

Aria, Bally’s, Bellagio, Caesars, Gold Coast, Mirage, Rio, Sams Town, Venetian, Wynn

Mostly only stud/8 and razz in the mixed games. HORSE is spread at Venetian as well.

Most of the above I have been to recently and there was no stud. Can anyone verify a regular game that goes daily? As far as the Bellagio, the limits are too high there.

Ballys does NOT have stud. $1/$2 NL, $3/$6 Limit. Occasional $2/$5 NL. Was just there.

You might want to check allvegaspoker to see if anyone there has any more info.

Not daily .... but there is a $2-$10 stud game down at Club Fortune (Henderson) on Saturdays. I am not sure what time it gets going or even if it still goes (its been a while since I spoke to anyone who plays it)

The last regular small stakes stud game on the Strip was the Mirage 1-4 spread limit game. It died last autumn.

I've rread a few posts about the game reappearing at the Orleans or Harrah's, but it was never sustained.

On the Strip, it's the Bellagio 20-40 or nothing.

Mixed games are going to be your best bet of getting some stud in. They are basically HORSE games with a few others tossed in like Deuce to Seven triple draw.

Played 4-8 HORSE at Venetian a few times.
I've heard them do list calls for 15-30 stud at V
I'm sure Bellagio runs it too

I will say that the 20-40 stud game at Bellagio is a very good game in my experience - soft and loose passive. Your mileage may vary, but if I lived there I would definitely hit it quite a bit.

Did the spread limit double qualifier stud/8 game at Sam's Town die?

Harrahs is still willing to spread low limit Stud if there is interest. I'm not sure how often the local regulars get together to play - it could be anything from 1-2 a week to once every 2 weeks.

I heard that a Wednesday night game was going on, but I've forgotten if it was at the Sahara or Flamingo. (Sorry)

It's on Wednesday's at about 2:30 pm. I've played it 3 times in the last 4 weeks. They said it is slow during the summer, but there has been 6-8 players the times I was there. It is $2-$10 spread, but on 7th street you can bet $20. The game is called Hoggie. It is like a Kill Pot. If you scoop a pot for more than $100 then you have to put out a $20 bet. I like the double qualifier too. For low you have to have 8 or better. For high 2 pair or better. If nobody qualifies then you chop the pot.

SAMs town 1-5 .25$ ante spread limit goes daily with the same group of ready to die nits
the game starts at 8 am and dies at about 3pm daily

This. At 35 I was the youngest player by 20 years, and these guys treated me like I was 10 (trying to bully me). If you can play at all you will beat this game like a drum.

Last summer (2009) I played in this game when they moved it to Binion's from Sam's Town. I guess they moved it back to Sam's Town. IMO, I could do w/o the high qualifier, too many chopped post on extremely poor hands.

This sounds like the same game that used to go Friday nights at the Palms.

went to boulder station to meet a friend for lunch, and boulder poker room had a seven stud NO ANTE game...

They were playing six handed, I think it was 1-3 stud and I think the low card opens for .25...

and I almost had a nervous breakdown.

This is going to be a great game! "Hoggie" game here at Red Rock! It's stud Hi-Lo spread 2 to 10 and on the river 2 to 20. It's seven card stud 8 a better with qualify for Jacks for high and 8 or better for the low. I played this game back at Binion's many many years ago when they moved it from the Suncoast or some other Casino.

Also played with a Kill for $100 or more pot. The winner of the kill pot puts in $10 and acts last. $1 ante.

The qualifier for high is Jack's? When I used to deal the game over a decade ago it was two pair for high.
