Splashes pot with All In call

Crazy night on saturday.

It's 5:00am playing 2-5 PLO
I also suck at stories so...

Also, LP = Huge fish and LOVES GAMBOL

Skip to the flop, EP checks, PFR C-bets, I shove with bottom set, LP calls, EP calls, PFR calls.

4 way all in. I fill up and at showdown, I show my hand.
EP and PFR muck, LP who had flipped his cards already (lost) starts to count out chips.

After the dealer push the pot from the other end of the table, he pushes into my pot *some* chips. I say nothing. Dealer interjects and...

How should this be handled and have you seen this before?

Re: Splashes pot with All In call

Yep .. That's a pretty easy/standard solution.

These PLO multi-way all-ins can be interesting spots for the Dealers, but I 'prefer' that the Dealer at least make sure that the main pot is correct and also get chips into the betting area from all Players involved that cover the biggest all-in. I don't mind them remaining in front of each Player, but at least get them moved forward. 'In my room' I would have the Dealer create all but the last pot.

The other thing a Dealer should do is explain how the Showdown is going to go before dealing out the rest of the Board to control the mucking and transfer of chips. This issue with not making all the pots right is that it's hard for the Dealer to keep track of where chips are going since 'a lot' of Players want to help post Showdown in an effort to get to the next hand.

This is another reason that Dealers don't like the single chip call. A Player ends up keeping chips in front of them and possibly not contributing to all the pots.

Have I seen this? Yes, and it was a pure angle by the Player trying to short pay. The action was recreated and they ended up fulfilling the correct amount due to each pot. GL

Have a floor person recreate the action, determine the appropriate size of the pot, make villain come up with whatever is not there.

How is the floor person supposed to know what the action was?

By asking the dealer and players. It is always best to have the floor handle this.

This is what happened.

The dealer asked me to stack the chips so we could count and recreate the action.

The huge fish was adamant that he payed the right amount. As I'm stacking the chips he puts another 80 or so in 3 greens and 1 red into the pile. Not sure if anyone else noticed.

I still say nothing as the its proceeding as it should.

Huge fish is now Mad at the dealer for questioning her.

We stack it up, recreate the action and count.
I'm up a bit more than I should be.

He says see, it's good.

Hes pissed and starts racking his chips butgoes outside for a smoke upset.
I join him outside for one as well and tell him how I said nothing and the dealer was just doing her job.

This guy is a massive fish, I mean HUGE and I do everything to keep him in the game but not in a suck up way. He comes back in and theres a new dealer. he stays now!

+EV right there. I'm the good guy and dealer is bad!

It's all about the customers.

I think you’re absolutely right...

You do suck at telling stories.

Pretty standard. Dealer should attempt to recreate the action, if there are any disputes from the players involved in the hand as to what the action was, then the dealer should call the floor and they'll go to the cameras.

I feel bad for the dealer, having to recreate action on a 4-way all-in with (undoubtably) multiple sidepots.

The floor should be there to witness this regardless.
