Single blind games reward nitty behavior. It might take a little time for them to turn nitty, but it'll happen eventually.
A game that big is usually just one big spot, and the regs take turns getting it in good against him. So what's the point? Anyway I haven't seen the stakes you describe in Reno for several years. For the small-medium size games they do spread currently, a single blind works perfectly.
BTW I think you're in California? So the house has a strong incentive to keep people from chopping there. Keep that in mind.
