That's not clear from the OP. OP said he showed the hand. That doesn't mean tabled. OP says the player knew there was still action (don't know how OP knows that). This if true is not consistent with oops I thought action was over and I was tabling my hand.

We don't know this. Perhaps the player said something that indicated this. We weren't told so either is possible

I think if the guy let his "buddy" peak at his hand or flash it like he was saying "fold save your money" (if in fact they were friends and colluding for that matter, and if we can also assume the guy is intelligent enough on a poker level to think along those lines while on a big adrenaline rush), then I'm sure the OP would have stated something to that effect in the thread other than sounding like it was tabled in a legal manor without violating OPTAH or other infractions.

But his post didn't sound like it was tabled in a legal manner without violating OPTAH.

He in fact is sounding the exact opposite but leaving out the details that tell us why

The guy flashed his royal to the table knowing the other guy was still to act. Apparently the guy still in the hand didn’t see. Showing His royal caused a commotion that the third guy questioned what was going on. The table said he showed his hand. Then the guy tried to claim he didn’t. After getting called out on it, he flipped his hand and said “fine, I have it”. Then the other guy then folded obviously.

Give the pot to the guy with the best hand. Then give a polite warning , or a sterner warning if you are so inclined. After all this IS live Casino poker! If the guy repeats this behavior , give him a rack!
