Technically it's not, but I can see some people may feel that's a douche move.

Thoughts?

Just rip it and stack him and tell him he should have gone twice probably would have chopped

Can't imagine a universe in which that is douchey. People have such bizarre ideas about RIT.

I agree, I don't think it is douchey.

However, just like with many other elements of poker etiquette, most of the time the person taking offense is taking the feeling "I'm mad and sad that I just lost a pot" and twisting it into "its your fault that I feel this way because of some [possibly very minor, or possibly non-existent] transgression of poker etiquette and NOT because I lost a pot and am a baby."

Not sure why this would be considered a problem. This Player is actually offering the favorite in the hand 'the' option when it comes to RIT. AND immediately stating that if he's the favorite that it's going to be once.

There could be some discussion if this happens on the Flop and it's a double draw for one Player as to whom the favorite is, but I find this line for RIT to be just fine. GL

If people actually take offense at this sort of thing, then it's very likely that they're emotionally unstable enough to tilt because of it.

So naturally, you should do it!

You wanna run it twice?

It's up to you.

OK lets run it twice.

I'm not making that decision, it's up to you.

So do you want to run it twice or not?

It's up to you.

OK lets run it twice

It's up to you.

You see how stupid you sound when you say this? Just do it or don't do it. Actually just **** RIT completely. Bad for the game and just another opportunity to angle.

You see how easy this is?
FYP .. If anyone is 'off' it's the person who doesn't accept the fact that they get to make the decision and keeps asking/verifying and drags things out longer.

Then you also get the Dealers who want to verify every hand that you are still going by 'your rule'. I don't necessarily blame them, each hand should stand on it's own. But if a guy has already set a pattern then 'the guy' should be the one speaking up if he wants something different. GL

PS .. Yes, pretty mush any scenario opens up possible angles ..

Ronnie refused to run it twice when he had top set (nuts) but did so when he had a big draw. Obviously I think that's fine since both parties have to agree anyway, but lots of comments below the video calling him a scumbag for that.

Could be the Player v Player choice as well. Not sure the history when he had top set, but he did 'snap' say one time with the set.

Definitely opens the door to bad feelings when you change it up, but I still want the choice .. but usually just defer to the other Player. Although I've been going only once the last week or two and seem to accept the result much easier (and possibly play better) when doing so. GL
