Meadows opened in Washington, PA. 7 players, masks required, plexiglass between players. I played today, it worked well.

Someone on reddit said that according to multiple regs Horseshoe Hammond is closing poker for good. Definitely taking that with a grain of salt though because a) it's reddit and b) Hammond is one of, if not the busiest room in the Midwest, not to mention being a regular WSOP stop.

Anyone know anything about what's going on there?

Can you link to it?

There is a Hammond thread to pursue .. IMO it's hard to tell what going on there since 'most' casinos have put slots in their poker rooms like they have. That casino also 'must' be sold as part of another gaming sale agreement, so there's that. And of course, most casinos are offering zero information until it's actually going to happen since with CV19 things do change daily.

These comments will probably get bounced from this thread, so you'll have to search .. GL

No news of live poker in Ohio or Michigan .. GL
Played 4 Winds SB Saturday, 4 pm I was seated immediately, 6 tables running, 3 open seats. Within and hour, 7 tables going, max, and a building list, 6 - 1/2 and 1 2/5. Action was very good at my table, cannot comment on others because it was good enough to stay right there and book a 6 hour +$400 win. BB Jackpot was hit at the 2/5 table for 225K, BB Jackpot reset to 85K. When I left around 10 pm, wait list was overflowing with lots of players hanging around the room, got the sense that if the room was fully open, it would have maxed out.

Nice update .. yes, with limited to zero 'live' poker in IL/MI this room will flurrish.

BBJ 'winner' took home about 56K .. it was his 3rd BBJ experience (winner, loser, table share) .. He's a 'young' low stakes pro who plays super nitty most of the time. So I guess it pays to be nitty? GL

Played the bike in LA yesterday.....8 handed games, mask, plexiglass...2/3NL, 5/5NL, 5/10NL.... 8/16L, 20/40L, 40/80L were all running multiple tables ....I expect they will add some higher stakes soon and hopefully some more games, seems to be gaining some steam. Tables were loaded and lots of action, lots of degens and soft tables imo....
......Its a cool setup given some of the stupid CA laws that have to work around ....poker room is outside, but under the huge valet/entrance overhang at the front of the hotel so doesn't feel like its outside, its a well done setup that feels like ur inside, I like the fresh air that comes through, plexiglass is meh but doesn't bother me too much..... sucks to have to leave to take a drink tho (even water)

hard to imagine the ONLY games commerce is willing to run due to the tent restrictions and limited tables running are NL games

I'm very interested in this answer as well. Driving to Oceanside is annoying.

Boston Billiards closed for 2 weeks because people with Covid were in there.

No one with covid has been in there the last few months of course.

Updates would be appreciated, particularly on plexiglass details.

I find I can tolerate a surgical mask for a few hours, but the dividers on an 8 or 9 handed table make it impossible for me to even sit comfortably. Haven't played since they installed them in my regular rooms.

The dividers are just horrendous socially. I can deal with the mask socially but the dividers ruin the game.

They don't bother me for that reason. A lot of us play sort of a-socially anyway; that's almost a cliche it's so common. But the vision factor bothers me. I was wearing a shield/mask and looking thru two levels of plastic was a big problem to see the flop.

BTW I hate Bob Ojeda. He totally abused my favorite player, Eddie Murray. He threw the same pitch every time to Eddie and incredibly it fooled him every time, and he would wave at it so weakly. Eddie wasn't a particularly sound hitter right-handed and Ojeda owned his soul. His lolly-pop curve/change on the outside corner ruined Eddie.

Hollywood Southern IN apparently open 5-handed. Didn't see it listed on here, might have overlooked it.

Yup they're open all right. Played tonight. 5-handed, about 8 tables going. Been open since October 26 they say, but I never saw it mentioned on here or on their web site until yesterday.

Super cute hand for me. Pre raiser following on Q-9-4 board. I'm looking him up with pocket sixes. Runs out 2-6. He shows down 3-5, takes my chips. I protest the bizarre nature of the cooler, complimenting the dealer on the "card trick." This crap got on me 400 sessions ago and won't go away. It's just barely, barely barely possible ... and not random.

Pretty quiet in here ...

MGM Detroit will open tomorrow at Noon with 5 tables playing 8-handed. No food or drink in the whole casino as they don't want anyone lowering their mask .. don't even think about bringing your own bottle of water as it's 'free' at the exits. Go outside, drink .. come back in.

Greektown casino also indicates that they got approval from MI Gaming to reopen their room, just not sure when.

No word from Motor City Casino as of yet.

None of the Indian casinos have poker as of yet with rumors that one of them was looking at April, but that may move up now.

Poker being allowed at all at this point is a shocker considering the clamps MI has been under during CV. GL

Like most rumors, take this one with a grain of salt. I hadn't heard anything about Pechanga until recently, when someone at a table mentioned a June opening. Another player agreed that he heard the same rumor. Why June over any other time seems a bit arbitrary, leading me to question the validity, but hey it's something.
