Information from a fairly competent 'operator' this morning at Motor City Casino in Detroit is that poker (and sports book) will be up and running when they resume operations on Wednesday this week at 10 AM.

There was no answer in the poker room nor any updates on Bravo as to whether or not any restrictions would be in place other than mask wearing.

This will be the first live poker in the Midwest that I know of as other (mostly tribal) casinos that have opened are opting for slots with limited table games and no poker so far to try and max revenue with the least amount of labor. GL

PS .. Although MGM-Detroit will re-open on Friday at 11 AM to the general public they have no poker plans at this time.

Minnesota has two rooms open.

As well as one or more in Ohio. And depending on your definition of Midwest some other states have rooms open.

MN and OH are MW for sure. And just yesterday (after my post) I heard a call-in from a Columbus, OH 'club' where it was 1/2 match-the-stack and the smallest stack was $770, Yummy!! I'll update if MCC actually does offer poker tomorrow. GL

Motor City Casino DID NOT open their card room ... bad intel/training for those answering the phones, or just a good way to get folks into the casino! GL

On a positive note ... Grand Falls Casino and Golf in Larchwood, IA is open for poker every day. AAANNNDD they are actually hosting a MSPT $1100 BI tournament at the end of August.

I don't see them on Bravo but I did call to verify ... I don't think MSPT would be pushing things on Twitter if this wasn't going to happen!

While I doubt the October tournament in Michigan will happen, MSPT is touting other tournaments on their web site ... including one in South Dakota that probably will happen. GL

The local rooms have placed tents in their parking lots for outdoor poker, but haven’t reopened yet.

Realized that 15 min after posting. Old and forgetful..........

Per their website, the Isle Casino in Pompano Beach, FL, will open their poker room on August 17th.
They didn't include any specifics such as how many players to a table, will there be plexiglass, etc.

The OCD got the best of me. I have updated this based off of looking at every room on Bravo and some spot-checking on PokerAtlas. Sorry, I'm not going to check all of the little 1- to 4-table rooms in Montana. A question mark generally means information from the last time this was updated that I could not verify. If you are the sort who doesn't want to wear a mask, the only place I could verify that doesn't require one is Chaser's in New Hampshire, based on a Facebook comment.

Neither Constanta nor Nugget in LA have plexiglass. Both require mask and do temp checks. Coushata was enforcing masks but Nugget was pretty lax about players.

Any confirmation from MSPT? I might have to make another road trip...

Turning Stone (NY) and Boston Billiards (NH) don't have Plexiglass. Boston Billiards is 6 handed. The Brook (Seabrook NH) is also open 6 handed with masks required and no plexiglass. No temp checks at the NH places either. Heard second hand from other players in NH that Manchester NH did not require masks.

Hollywood Casino in Perryville is doing their soft reopening of the poker room.

I do not know the specifics other than there will be plexiglass and limits per table and limited tables. I also don't think tournaments are slotted to run any time soon.
