If there is a thread on this please combine. Otherwise im curious if anyone has signed up yet? I went ahead did the monthly sub option and immediately can give some pretty dramatic feedback:

1: Absolutely no way to view any content via iphone safari mobile browser, must use their app
2: No option though site or app to chromecast or apple play to tv
3: Max stream quality is 720p and is choppy, laggy, downright terrible from my experience so far on a very fast wifi connection.
4:Not one of the promo codes listed all over the internet/twitter worked when i signed up so i said *** it and just skipped the promo code.

I realize its brand new and there are always some kinks but they really werent prepared when this platform was launched. I have a feeling they were way behind on development and put out an unfinished product just to make sure it was ready ahead of the SHRB and WSOP.

I recommend keeping your expectations low for this company.

Honestly I came in with vey low expectations after what I've seen poker central put together previously. I have a feeling they are going to completely ruin what was previously a well ran wsop stream schedule.

Well, you can expect high production value from events like SHRB, because they have nothing to do with it and hired that out to Mori Eskandani's excellent production company.

Other than that, they seem to make a lot of poor decisions. Hopefully we're wrong and they don't screw this up.

Yea I'm not saying the content won't be great, the SHRB and the SHR cash games were excellent. But poker central has been terrible at best, and pokergo seems to be following it down the crapper.

Streaming is choppy for me, and even when you pause a video it doesn't load on its own like normal online videos. Also they intentionally make it difficult to cancel your subscription--there is literally no option to cancel your subscription through the website. Instead you have to call them and get someone on the phone, which is pretty sneaky and ridiculous.

On top of that, as of now there is barely any existing content. For some reason they chose to launch with exactly 1 new show, with 7 minute episodes--again a sneaky move to make an hour-long documentary appear to be significant content.

Hopefully they will get better.

Yea the berkey content was good but 8 7min episodes was annoying as hell. Especially when 1min of each one is intro/credits and then it doesn't bring the next episode up automatically you have to go into the menu and get it. Whoever is doing backend dev should be fired and forced out of the industry forever.

Yikes. I subscribed with PayPal, so I'll just cancel the recurring payment there if needed.

As long as we're banishing people, can we include the person responsible for this YouTube channel?

My guess is they got the rights for a pittance and expect to make money just from the people that sign up for 1 month, realise it's garbage, and don't continue.

I have not used the website yet:

1. So what is wrong with using their app?
2. It claims you can use amazon stick.

and as far as the cancelling. They give directions how and have regular business hours to call.
If any problem arises then you have your big brother(credit card company) to get you your money back.

Ditto. I'm expecting to subscribe but obviously won't if the stream quality is crap. It's 2017, and streaming is everywhere. It shouldn't be that hard.

This looks to be correct. Here is the Amazon Fire TV app link, appears to have been just released today (as in 5/28):

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072JCM4K2...=poker+central

Haven't tried it out yet, but likely will give it a test run manana during Day 1 of SHRB.

I was considering subbing but im not giving my money to a company who makes it hard to cancel their service. Its a cheap tactic used to exploit consumers laziness. They could easily put it on the website they just want to rip people off.

Call a number to cancel your service? How about F U ill find your sheit online for free or not watch it.

Even if the stream was perfect I'm not giving my money to a company that acquires the rights to a whole event then only streams like 1/10th of it.

Only streaming the NLH games is a joke.

This is not a well thought out business model IMO.

There is a lot of free poker and free poker content out there. E.g. PNIA, Live at The Bike,
Kings Casino, Pokerstars Championship, Doug Polk YouTube, Alec Torelli YouTube, Joe Ingram Podcasts, Twitch streamers, free training videos, and various poker Vloggers. This is quite a crowded space.

Not to mention here on 2Plus2 and other poker chat forums, Poker Twitter and Poker News web sites, etc etc etc.

Plus TV shows that most consumers have already paid for through their TV/Cable/Satellite such as WPT, WSOP, Pokerstars Championship, Shark Cage etc. High Stakes Poker is also mooted to be coming back with a new series.

So I don't see many people paying a subscription for just a small portion of the total available content that is out there, other than a small number of total poker fanatics, and some top pro players for whom observing their adversaries' play is essential.

Most apps and services nowadays seem to be free, to gain a big subscription base, and then monetize themselves with premium paid for content options and advertising or sponsorship.

So for poker, which let's face it in the grander scheme of things is quite a narrow market, I don't see a paid for subscription service for only a small percentage of the poker that is out there, being too popular.

Also, a lot of potential subscribers are busy playing poker themselves a lot of the time, or busy with other work or with their personal lives, which is why free content is appealing as you can dip in and out of it when you want to and when you have time.

Can't find Mobile Apps on ITunes or Android store ? Nothing like releasing a product that is not there - Beware. Also, they do not give prices until you go through 3 pages and many friends are complaining about that. $99 yearly but you can save $10 with "Save10" code and based on reddit - $10 monthly.

I did sign up, but expectations are low - we shall see.

Anyone would be crazy to sign up for yearly now before trying it out.
Plus the streaming content will go way down after WSOP is over.

I guess the IOS app will come out any day now as the Amazon Fire Stick app just came out yesterday.

Their app needs to be chromecast or Apple TV ready before 4:30 PM EST. No one wants to sit on their computer or phone to watch poker. They got my $10 already.

On the screensaver of my Roku, I've seen a few ads for Poker Central this year, and have heard mention of their Roku app in various other places. I was planning on watching the SHRB on it this week, but apparently that's no longer a thing.

The Poker Go app is said to be "coming soon" to Roku. Plan B was to stream it on my PS4, but that is also "coming soon".

So I'll be doing the ol' Laptop to HDMI setup. =/
