Player's Club - deals getting worse? Player's Club - deals getting worse?

For the last few years, my wife has played enough small slots that when our quarterly offering came in by email, hers was always better. Many dates, the hotel room was free. Paid $0000 for MGM rooms on a total of 4 trips last year and once this year already. Now here comes the offer for May-July and her offer looks just like mine. $60 mid-week and $80 weekends. AND I can't use a poker rate to reduce the cost any further. Maximum reduction is to $90/night per conversation with poker floor.

Is this the first wave of "plug the (financial) leaks?" If things are getting softer in LV, I thought the teasers to show up, play and eat out, etc., should get juicer, not tighter.

Any insights? Any info? Any better deals with other club cards?

Each place is different. Some places think during slow times they should tighten up on the comps and other places give them out more generously during slow times. I would think it has a lot to do with their "client base" and the philosophy of the management.

Ehh, that was yesterday's news actually. And one of the MGM Poker rooms in town got hit with no more graveyard staff. The room closes after midnight when the games break down and re-opens at 10am when new staff comes in.

Don't know what the MGM property was/is, but I also heard something about the Paris poker room only being open during swing for now and maybe closing altogether.

Anyone else?

Call MGM marketing and ask to speak to the host on duty. If her past play warrants it he will setup a comped room for you on the spot. If you want I can give you some names of hosts unless she already has one. Also if you are trying to book during certain dates within the WSOP timeframe you will need the host contact for sure for a comp.

That is correct apparently, on Paris. The room will open swing shift only.
